Ray White, the world's strongest Iceblade Sorcerer, has concealed his identity to enroll at Arnold Academy. There, the lowborn Ray gets disdain from nobles. But he meets Amelia Rose of a prominent family and a half-elf, Elisa Griffith.

Ray asks to join the Environmental Research Club and the Gardening Club; at first, his request to join the Gardening Club is rejected because he is not of noble birth.

During Kafka Forest exercise, Ray's group defeats attacking monster. A mysterious sorcerer revives it, stronger. Amelia, Elisa and Evi help Ray defeat it for good. They finish first. Ray visits master Lydia Ainsworth to discuss matters.

Amelia trains for Magic Chevalier tournament preliminaries. She requests Ray to practice with her. Ray excels with elegant swordsmanship, exciting onlookers. Albert Alium suddenly demands a duel. Attacks aggressively with a real sword.

Helena reveals she's with Eugenics, seeking sorcerer brains. Ray battles her as Iceblade Sorcerer while friends look on. The fight ends, time rewinding to Lydia finding war orphan Ray, unveiling the Sorcerer's mysterious past.

After the battle with Gray, Ray returns to his peaceful academy life. But then, they meet their new homeroom teacher, who is none other than Carol Caroline. Being uneasy with her from his past experiences, Ray even asks Abbie to fire her... Meanwhile, Amelia makes it through the qualifiers in first place and secures her spot for the Magic Chevalier tournament.

In order to prepare for the Magic Chevalier's rookie bracket, Amelia steels herself with the Ainsworth-style bootcamp. Even though she moans that the training is too grueling, she somehow manages to complete it. Meanwhile, Ray infiltrates the Diom Academy of Sorcery to scope out the competition. He ends up having a training match with Ariane and gets to feel how strong she really is. The next day, Ray takes his friends to meet his master Lydia and they all enjoy a fun day with the great sorcerer. However, Lydia also takes the chance to take Amelia aside to have a personal talk with her.

Aiming to get at the high nobles daughters, the assassin group Grim Reapers infiltrate the Magic Chevalier arena. Having caught wind of their plan, Abbie orders Ray to guard the arena. Meanwhile, after having seen Ariane's overwhelming power, Amelia has completely lost her confidence. Ray then delves deeper into her heart and gently lifts her up. On the day of the final match, Amelia goes into the fight against Ariane with her friends cheering her on. Ray watches over the match, but then unpleasant news reach his ears.

After Ariane's intense onslaught, Amelia is prepared to lose. But right then, Ray reaches the arena and cheers her on. With her morale boosted, she begins to nullify Ariane's attacks with a new spell and finally begins to strike back. She puts on the pressure on her opponent, but her body is also reaching its limits.

After the Magic Chevalier is over, the season turns to fall. While Ray and his class are getting excited about their plan for the cultural festival, they get word that Rebecca has been engaged to an upper-tier noble called Evan Bernstein. Ray goes to congratulate her, but gets the feeling that she is not her usual self. On top of that, Dina Sera asks Ray to watch over Rebecca, so he begins his investigation into Evan. However, the situation behind this way bigger than Ray could have imagined.

Everybody is on alert after they figure out that Evan is an impostor who only wants Rebecca's power. Furthermore, after Maria Bradley talks to him, Ray decides to fight Evan. A few days later, the cultural festival at the Arnold Academy for Sorcery begins, and the maid café Amelia dreamed off is a huge success. Ray leaves his class to go find Rebecca and the two of them have fun checking out the festival. However, looming in the background, there was an ominous presence following her.

To save Rebecca, Ray battles monsters and Eugenics mages. Friends join the fight against evil. Rebecca's secret, house Bradley's too, is exposed. Unexpectedly, the Sorcerer of Fabrication engages in war. Will Ray protect his loved ones?
