Shocking, but fun to watch.

This director really captured the audacity of Bank of America asking for a "death certificate" from a living customer to complete a home refinance. It is a crazy, crazy story, but in episode 1 it starts calmly enough and just gets crazier as time goes on. It crescendos with an hilarious scene, (no spoiler) but it is funny and insane.

Banking Bad episode 1 is narrated and told very well. The episode starts with a seemingly simple financial transaction that becomes increasingly more complicated as the main character is caught in a document maze laid out by Bank of America. It is well worth a view and I think it can be found in parts online.

It's done well, and it will shock you.

Warning: Spoilers
I first saw this video as a link that was circulating around Facebook. It appears to be released in 7-minute segments on YouTube. When I first started watching, it seemed to be a simple, funny story of a guy seeking a home loan refinance, but then it gets crazy. I won't give it away as it might get me flagged for spoilers, but I will say the bank involved with his loan, "Bank of America," and they started asking him for something so crazy to re-do his loan. It is absolutely absurd!!! The story is funny in how he tells it, but the situation is so wrong, I am having trouble understanding how a bank can get away with doing this to a customer? After watching part one I had to wait to see part two, but the production company just released episode 2 and it is even funnier than episode one. Part 2 gets into why Banks have been stalling dong loan modifications and how they have been profiting but not helping homeowners in this. Over all I would recommend this series.

Very Brave Expose

I learned about these videos from a friend on Facebook. My family had applied for a "loan modification" about 2 years ago, and it was an UTTER NIGHTMARE. I had no idea that the banks were operating in a systematic scheme like I now know. When I watched episode one of this "Banking Bad" series, I laughed, but deep down I could relate, and it was a bit painful. I won't spoil it if you haven't seen it, but the guy in the video exposes the crap in a very clever way.

It gets better in each episode and it appears that by episode three he is just helping other people with their homes and loan mods. This video series is somewhat of a" cult classics," in this niche bank community. I would like to personally thank the writer for doing this, as I think it helps expose what these diabolical banks were up to. Did it stop it, I don't know, but it sure made me feel better ;-)
