Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Josh Server, Lori Beth Denberg, and Carmen Electra are the only people that reprise their roles since the first movie.
Dan Schneider, who played Good Burger manager Mr. Bailey in the first film, did not return after Nickelodeon severed ties with him in 2018 due to several misconduct allegations against him.
An original sequel to Good Burger (1997) had already been made but was in book form. Titled "Good Burger 2 Go", published in 1998, it follows Ed and Dexter trying to license Ed's Sauce to sell. Unfortunately, a big pot of Ed's Sauce is empty and Ed isn't available to make more due to the fact that he's trying to track down a customer to return 18 cents in change to that customer. Determined to return the change, he follows the customer around the world and ends up getting mixed up in a kidnapping plot in Paris, all the while Dexter is trying to track him down.
Many cast members of Saturday Night Live (1975) besides Kenan Thompson make appearances, including Pete Davidson, Ego Nwodim, Andy Samberg, Maya Rudolph, Bowen Yang, Mikey Day, Molly Kearney, Leslie Jones, and Michael Longfellow.
