Well, our boy has been returned to his cult where he also meets up with Roderick. There are numerous persons working on whatever they are working on. First priority for Joe is to get Claire back. He feels his son needs a mother. She, however, is in protective custody. This is a brutal episode, showing the lengths to which the followers will go. A couple go as far as they humanly can. But we do see just a bit of tension between Roderick and the "new" guy

The gathering of Joe's lunatic fringe takes place on this large estate. We have someone sacrifice himself for the cause.
Joe Weston is the latest victim of this crazed cult. By the episode's end, he is in the hospital in very critical condition. Only the writers shall decide if he will continue in this very eerie series.
The new chief seems to be putting Ryan in his place. His eyes make me think of being suspicious of him.
Emma wants to go all the way with Joe and by the end of this episode she has succeeded in her purpose. Joe professes love for his wife but finally submits to the bed with Emma.
