The concept of family dynamics and dysfunctionality stemming from it have been well explored, and the author wrongfully focuses on disease as the main (and perhaps the only) culprit of family dysfunction in this particular case. It is adding insult to traumatic injury, leaving no room for recovery. On the other hand, severe enmeshment, manipulation, overstepping boundaries, entitlement, betrayal of trust, and invalidation are the hallmarks of dysfunctional families and usually an implication of a more serious problem. Now, if someone wants to believe that thinking of their cousin's "budding" sexuality is somehow artistic, then this is indeed a rare Bosnian gem. I would not be surprised that the author himself believes that the movie deserves 10 stars, but we can agree to disagree, and "Berina's" opinion is equally valid.
In addition, considering Berina's peculiar looks and a very specific clothing style, I would warmly recommend examining the issue of Autism Spectrum and how it presents in female children and youth.
