Back at the office, they watch the theater surveillance. Gibbs addresses the whole NCIS office, which is on the case, along with the FBI. The men wore stocking masks and obscured the van's plate.
In MTAC, Lydia talks to her mom, Jennifer Wade, at sea. She's been given a transfer but bad weather is keeping her stuck on the ship. Jennifer suggests Lydia stay with the Martins, but Gibbs advises against it. Ziva offers to host her.
In the morgue, Duckie has ID'd black primer from the van. It washed off, meaning the paint job was temporary. Duckie advises Gibbs to take things slowly and not rush anything.

Back in Abby's lab, she shows Lydia face samples for face types. Lydia gets a text that says "Help lyds, they hav--" She thinks it's from Rosie. They trace it to a burn phone in a trailer. There's a man's warm dead body in the trailer and signs Rosie was there, including the phone she sent the help text from. They're thinking the man was shot by his accomplices for letting her send the text.
McGee ID's the dead man as Sean Oakby, a petty criminal with no sex crime record. He's sent messages to multiple burn phones in the past few days, including photos of Rosie in a party dress. Gibbs tells McGee to have Agent Fornell find Miranda Pennebaker.
Lydia confirms Oakby was one of the men who tried to grab her. Gibbs comes down to the lab and tells Abby and Ziva the attackers are trying to sell Rosie. He asks Ziva and Abby to stay with Lydia and make her feel safe.
