Glad to see it going back its roots

Now i have to say over the last few years the big bang theory has taken a turn for the worst , with them all moving on with girlfriends/getting married and so forth , but it was nice to see Howard and Raj team up again to find out what it is Sheldon is doing during his unscheduled time during his day. Needless to say the episode was fantastic some might say the funniest episode since season 3 , me and my girlfriend where in fits of laughter and if your a fan of the older seasons it might be refreshing to note the writers are heading back in the direction we all loved from the previous seasons.

I wont bother including spoilers for the episode , it was very funny well thought out and the best episode of the season!

Lost
VBeretta9 July 2023
Since a couple of months Sheldon disappears for twenty minutes every day. Not even his assistant Alex knows where he goes, only that those twenty minutes must be kept free on his agenda. Nosy as usual, Howard and Raj decide to investigate...

What makes this episode so engaging is that it revolves around a real mystery. The more we learn, the more the mystery actually deepens. I found myself squeezing my brain in search for an answer, thinking back to past episodes looking for clues.

I also got the impression that the writers were a bit making of fun of Lost", with all that series mysteries thrown at the wall only to end up with an unsatisfactory solution. This doesn't happen here, with an ending both totally out there and pure TBBT. I really laughed hard.

The episode has also a sub-plot about Leonard being jealous of a schoolmate of Penny - a story that leads nowhere and that seems to exist only because they needed a B-plot. The rest is memorable.

"The 43 Peculiarity" was another very funny ep of "The Big Bang Theory"
tavm8 December 2012
In this ep of "The Big Bang Theory": Howard and Raj notice that Sheldon leaves the cafeteria at a certain time but find nothing on his schedule to determine what he does. Obviously, they're very curious. Leonard finds out from Penny that she has a study partner in her class, who's British. Yes, he gets jealous. He finds out his name is Cole (Ryan Cartwright) and tries to small-talk with him. Penny finds out and is mad. Oh, and Sheldon's assistant Alex seems to really like Leonard...This was another very funny ep of "The Big Bang Theory" especially when it's revealed what Sheldon does during that time no one else knows about. So on that note, I very much liked "The 43 Peculiarity".

Warning: Spoilers
Sheldon is busy at lunch trying to make a mini worm hole. When Sheldon leaves Howard wonders where Sheldon goes at the same time all the time. Penny is getting texts from her English classmate and Leonard feels jealous. Penny then has to let go of her partner because Leonard does not want her to be her partner. Howard and Raj decide to follow Sheldon because they are so interested in were he goes. Sheldon goes into a storage closet and they two still wonder why he is there. When Leonard looks to see Penny's school partner Sheldon tells him he should worry about this guy. In the middle of the night Raj and Howard go to see what is in the room. The door is locked and Howard has to pick the lock. They get into the room with 43 on a black board. When Penny's friend leaves Penny's apartment Leonard runs after him to see what he looks like. Leonard follows him down the stairs and Penny sees him saying hi to the English guy. When Leonard talks to Sheldon's assistant she tells him he should see girls that flirt with him. He then laughs even showing she likes him. Howard and Raj try to figure out 43 and they spend so much time thinking about it. They try to leave but still they cannot help but think of 43. Penny then says that she loves him for the first time and she starts to cry which in turns makes him start. Howard sets a video in Sheldon's secret room and see that he created a worm hole but in fact he faked it coming up from behind them. When we see Sheldon in the room it is him trying to beat his record of keeping a ball in the air 43 times. Funny episode and Penny saying she loved Leonard was very cool for the show to finally do that.

EPISODE GRADE: B (MVP: Johnny Galecki)

Where Will You Be in 43
Hitchcoc21 October 2021
Once again, Leonard's tiresome jealousy gets to be too much. Really, Penny should get rid of him. He is maudlin and can't think positively. Of course we've met his mother. Raj and Howard notice that Sheldon leaves for 20 minutes each day and follow hm to a storeroom where he is doing something. There are a few funny lines here, particularly things Sheldon explains to Leonard.

OK episode.

Warning: Spoilers
This is my opinion. I really don't like Sheldon. Except when he loaned Penny money. To me experimental physicists deal in theory. As opposed to experimental physicists like Leonard who actually deals with tangible items. You can't hold theories!
