Active since the early '90s, Tia Mowry has had a long acting career, including a number of Christmas films. Mowry's big break came in the sitcom Sister, Sister, where she starred alongside her actual twin sister, Tamera Mowry. Sister, Sister was a staple of the mid-90s sitcom, running from 1994-1999. Tia and Tamera would go on to star in a handful of films after Sister, Sister ended, with the Disney Channel original movies, Twitches and Twitches Too.

After appearing in her first Christmas movie, The Mistle-Tones, in 2012, Tia Mowry would go several more years before appearing in another one. After starring in My Christmas Inn in 2018, the floodgates opened, and Mowry regularly began appearing in various Christmas films since, with her most recent movie in the genre, A Very Merry Beauty Salon premiering in December 2024.

Good tidings Freeform brings, as the network celebrates the adored seasonal tradition of 25 Days of Christmas. The programming event returns to spread holiday cheer starting on Sunday, December 1.

A delightful collection of Christmas favorites is being offered to make spirits bright, including Home Alone, The Santa Clause trilogy, and Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000). Select airings of perennial favorite Home Alone will incorporate “pop-up” facts about the classic holiday movie.

Jingle all the way with Disney family classics like Frozen, the Toy Story franchise, and Disney’s A Christmas Carol. It’s November 1, and Freeform is already ready to start spreading holiday cheer.

The network released its 25 Days of Christmas schedule Friday, revealing all the programming coming up in December. There’s something for everyone, with things kicking off at 7 a.m. and extending through at least midnight every day from December 1 to 25.

The lineup includes classics like the Home Alone films, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, the Santa Clause movies, Miracle on 34th Street and multiple versions of The Grinch.

There’s also some non-holiday films sprinkled in, including Moana and Toy Story.

And, as always, Freeform has a few network premieres planned, including one for Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You on December 1, after which it’ll repeatedly air through Christmas Day. Dashing Through the Snow and Santa’s Little Helper are also getting a Freeform debut on December 8.

With the holidays right around the corner, Freeform’s “25 Days of Christmas” is back.

This year, starting December 1, the special lineup event will introduce Disney+ holiday films “Noelle,” which stars Anna Kendrick, and “Godmothered,” which stars Jillian Bell, as the flicks make their Freeform debut.

In addition to the new favorites, the network will welcome back classic holiday movies, including 2000 film “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Disney’s A Christmas Carol,” “Frozen,” “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas” and the 1994 version of “Miracle on 34th Street.”

Streaming services are now trying to ration their upcoming original content due to the ongoing actors strike and the only recently-resolved writers’ strike, so we’re going to see a thinning-down of new releases across the board over the next six months at least. Hulu will be adding a lot of library TV shows and movies in November, but there are only a few new major original projects hitting the streamer this month.

Hulu’s spotlight streaming series in November is Black Cake, which is based on the bestselling book by Charmaine Wilkerson. Part family drama, part murder mystery, the show features a globetrotting story that will cover decades of events after a bereaved family find a flash drive that contains some shocking secrets about the hidden history of their late matriarch.

There’s a lot to watch on Prime Video in October and, as you may have guessed, there’s spooky stuff galore in amongst Prime’s usual rotation of extensive library content.

In the movie Totally Killer, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Kiernan Shipka travels back in time to the 1980s to stop a serial killer. Then there’s Make Me Scream, a Halloween special that challenges celebrities to “a gruesome game of terror.” Renfield will also be streaming on the service for anyone who’s been dying (muahahaha!) to catch the Nic Cage Dracula film.

Meanwhile, for Frasier heads – those who consider themselves utterly Frasier-pilled – all eleven seasons of the Cheers spinoff show will be streaming at the touch of a button.

Hallmark Media has named Kelly Garrett as Vice President of Development. Garrett reports to Samantha Dipippo, senior vice president, development, and will be based in Studio City.

Garrett will develop Hallmark Media’s holiday programming, which includes sourcing material and spearheading projects.

“Kelly is a huge fan of our brand and understands the spirit and emotional tenor of our holiday programming,” said Dipippo in a statement. “Her enthusiasm for Hallmark content and her extensive experience in family programming make her the perfect candidate for this role.”

Garrett joins Hallmark Media after more than 14 years at Disney, most recently in the role of Executive Director, Original Programming. As the Hollywood blockbuster machine continues to dust itself off and release some early winter hits, Hulu is going in a bit of a different direction with its list of new releases for November 2021.

There are no big Hulu original films of note this month. Instead there’s a whole host of original series. The TV parade starts on Nov. 5 with the release of Animaniacs season 2. Also getting a second season this month is monarchal comedy The Great on Nov. 19. The most intriguing series, however, is animated Marvel comedy Marvel’s Hit Monkey. As its name so graciously implies, this is a show about a hit monkey…as in monkey assassin. Naturally the hit monkey is haunted by the ghost of Jason Sudeikis because it’s important that everything make sense.

Though Hulu doesn’t have any original movies in November, its list of library movie titles is quite vast.

On the original "Beverly Hills, 90210," Tori Spelling played out several yuletide tales as Donna Martin; in fact, ABC Family has a mini-marathon of them Thursday, Dec. 20 starting at 7 a.m. Et.

"It was especially great for Donna, because Christmas was her birthday," Spelling tells Zap2it. "It was always something special for her."

And 12 years after the show ended, Donna remains special for Spelling: "I'll meet 13-year-olds who say, 'We love "90210"!' And I'll say, 'The new one?' And they'll be like, 'No. The one you're in.' They'll watch repeats on SoapNet, and I think it's great those still appeal to them. It may be a different generation, but the messages are still there and clear. It's something I'm really proud of."

Now a mother of four, Spelling has also appeared in a slew of original TV movies, including, most recently, ABC Family's "The Mistle-Tones."

Months before that, she finished her first TV movie in several years: Sunday's (Dec. 9) serio-comic ABC Family musical "The Mistle-Tones," casting Spelling and Tia Mowry ("The Game") as the leaders of rival groups in a Christmas Eve "sing-off."

With four kids under the age of six at home, Tori Spelling's household frequently gets a little crazy. But as the busy mom explains, she hasn't necessarily ruled out the possibility of adding to her brood. "I always knew I wanted to be a mom, I always thought two, that's what I grew up with. Tori Spelling got quite the scare when she was diagnosed with a scary maternity condition during and after her last pregnancy, causing her to face life-threatening situations.

"There was a moment, when you get the facts that you could bleed out essentially, I thought, 'Oh my gosh, I can't leave three kids behind," Spelling told "Access Hollywood" hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover of her near-fatal battle with placenta previa, which caused her to be hospitalized for two and a half months before delivering her fourth child, Finn. The actress stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday, where she chatted with Billy Bush and Kit Hoover are about her upcoming ABC Family movie musical, "The Mistle-Tones," but she also dished on the possibility of another addition to her family.

Tori Spelling has cheered for her "Beverly Hills, 90210" castmates who have done "Dancing With the Stars," but she's not sure she'd follow in their literal footsteps.

Ian Ziering, Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty have all taken turns on the ABC competition that ended its "All-Stars" season Tuesday (Nov. 27). Spelling might have been persuaded to do the show, too, but she says family matters -- specifically, tending to her four children with actor husband Dean McDermott -- have decreased the likelihood of that happening now.

"I used to say, 'Maybe,'" Spelling tells Zap2it, "but it's gotten so crazy-competitive and so amazing. The people who are doing it aren't like celebrities trying it, they're like dancers. I mean, they have Olympians on there who excel in gymnastics. And look at ['All-Stars' winner] Melissa Rycroft -- she was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, so obviously, she's going to be a good dancer.
