Sarah Greene and Mike Smith's interview was recorded in one of the hangars at Flying TV, their aerial photography company.
The film's subtitle "Behind the Curtains" refers to Pipes The Poltergeist's hiding space in the original Ghostwatch (1992). It is also one of the chapter headings on the inaugural BFI DVD release.
The pre-titles quote from John Waite: "I won't believe it until I see it on TV." is also included in the first few pages of Stephen Volk's screenplay for Ghostwatch (1992).
At least two original crew-members from Ghostwatch (1992) served in different roles during the making of the documentary. The film was co-produced and edited by Ghostwatch director, Lesley Manning, and the sound mix was headed by original Ghostwatch actor and soundman, Mike Aiton.
From conception to release, the film took approximately five years to make, and was a wholly Independent production during that time.
