Taking a night out from motherhood, Grace (Emily Rose Holt) attends a lavish party at a nearby mansion. However the next morning she finds herself trapped inside the house in an endless time loop. To have any hope of escaping the mansion and returning to her normal life and young child, Grace must unlock the secrets of the house, the enigmatic owner Elias (Daniel De Bourg), and the previous night’s party.
Right from the off, All This Time nails the gothic atmosphere, leaning into the tropes of gothic horror, with an eerie atmosphere and a mise-en-scene that brilliantly reflects the dark nature of the story, the mansion and the characters within. Joey Belladonna has been back as Anthrax’s lead singer for roughly 15 years now, but not before being fired twice by the legendary thrash metal act. During his time away from the band, the vocalist worked a few odd jobs, including one at a horse barn.
While he wasn’t Anthrax’s original singer (there was a revolving door of vocalists in the early ’80s), Belladonna helped establish the band as one of the premier thrash acts from 1984 to 1992, singing on four of their classic albums: Spreading the Disease (1985), Among the Living (1987), State of Euphoria (1988), and Persistence of Time (1990).
Belladonna was ousted from the band in 1992, and replaced by John Bush for most of the ’90s and into the 2000s. He returned in 2005, but was replaced by Dan Nelson in 2007, before returning in 2010. He has remained a member of Anthrax since then, appearing on their two most recent LPs, Worship...

Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury have driven cinematic daggers into our hearts for over a decade. Whether you point at Inside, Livid, Among the Living, etcetera, the duo conceptualizes from a well of prolific darkness. Their latest feature, The Soul Eater, doesnt lack any of that signature gut-shredding terribleness. Its the least horror-forward of their catalog thus far, yet even so, blends unsettling folkloric imagery into a procedural thriller thats not quite Longlegs or Megalomaniac, but will still leave your soul wounded and rotten by the time the credits roll.

Anthrax played their first show with original bassist Dan Lilker in 40 years on Saturday, April 13th, in Mexico City.
Lilker is filling in on Anthrax’s South American run and Spring 2024 US festival dates for Frank Bello, who is sitting out the shows due to “personal reasons.” The band kicked of the itinerary in Mexico City at Mxmf The Metal Fest, running through a 12-song set that leaned heavily on Anthrax’s most popular songs.

Lilker co-founded Anthrax in 1981 as the band’s original bassist and occasional guitarist. He co-wrote and performed on Anthrax’s 1984 debut Fistful of Metal before parting ways with Scott Ian and company. Two songs from that album were played in Mexico City: “Metal Thrashing Mad” and “Deathrider” (marking the first performance of the latter since 2014).

Two of metal’s most iconic mascots — Iron Maiden’s Eddie and Anthrax’s ornery flatbill-cap-wearing Not-Man — are joining forces for the Among the Living in-game event in Maiden’s Legacy of the Beast mobile game.
For this latest dungeon event, the plot of Anthrax’s recent Among the Living graphic novel serves as the premise, as players venture through the wreckage of a recently destroyed New York City. Not-Man is out for revenge, and he’s got Eddie in tow.
“We couldn’t be happier to be featured in this game,” commented Anthrax, who join an esteemed group of major bands that have appeared in Lotb.
The band continued: “When the idea came up, we were completely taken aback by it, like, ‘Are you serious?’ You have Eddie, one of the greatest mascots of all-time, and the Not-Man. When you see the Non-Man’s face, you identify it with Anthrax.

“Double Trouble”
By Raymond Benson
Crime stories about twins are usually compelling, despite the sameness (no pun intended) about them. Among the Living, a 1941 potboiler from Paramount, is a short (only 69 minutes!) thriller that, with a few cuts, might have been an episode of an Alfred Hitchcock Presents or similar anthology television program. It moves quickly, holds interest, and contains a reasonably dynamic performance from Albert Dekker as twins—one of them “normal,” and the other insane.
Dekker had an admirable career in Hollywood for three decades, usually working in supporting roles. He is perhaps best known as the titular character in Dr. Cyclops (1940). Landing a dual starring part in Among the Living was likely a result of his appearance in Cyclops.
The old Raden home is supposedly haunted, barely looked after by the elderly Black caretaker, Pompey (Ernest Whitman). Old man Raden,...

Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova will re-team in early 2022 for their first tour together in nearly 11 years, Variety can exclusively reveal. The performances will take place next March to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the movie “Once,” which starred the duo and featured their original music. The film’s “Falling Slowly” won the 2007 Academy Award for best original song; a hit Broadway musical adaptation later won eight Tony Awards, including best musical, in 2012.
Following the release of the film version of “Once,” Hansard and Irglova recorded and toured as The Swell Season, but have only made a handful of onstage appearances together in the past decade. The upcoming shows will feature material from both “Once” and The Swell Season, as well as the pair’s respective solo careers.
The tour comes at a time when “Once” remains a cultural touchstone, having been referenced in a recent Christmas-themed episode of Apple TV+’s “Ted Lasso.

Thanks to Brazilian director Dennison Ramalho I have long had an intense fear of high heels and nails ever since I was on a short film jury where I first saw his 2011 film Ninjas. If this brutal and hardcore trailer for his newest film The Nightshifter (formerly Among the Living) is anything to go by then audiences at the world premiere at Fantasia on July 17th are in for a very, very intense experience. Head up, this trailer is very Nsfw due to violent and organic content. Stênio works the night shift at a morgue in a very large, very violent city. On the job, he sees cadavers in every conceivable state, often the victims of horrific gang warfare. While most...

Playing as part of this year's Fantasia Film Festival is the new film from Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo (Livid, Inside), entitled Among the Living, or Aux Yeux Des Vivants for you purists out there; and right now we have the French poster and a pair of fresh stills.
Chloe Coulloud, Lannick Gautry, Francis Renaud, and Beatrice Dalle star in the flick, which has been described as a hybrid of Stand By Me and Stephen King's It.
Synopsis
Youngsters Victor, Dan, and Tom skip school to wander around an abandoned movie set. They stumble upon an horrific vision: a woman in chains is dragged through the field by a man wearing a clown mask. The masked man catches a glimpse of the boys, who scramble to run away. But, before they can escape, they see something which has been hidden for years, something they were not meant to see.

Many consider this duo’s 2007 debut, Inside, to be one of the most frightening films ever made, and it gave Beatrice Dalle one of her greatest roles in years, leading Dalle to vow to be in every feature Maury & Bustillo make. Her role was cut down considerably in their 2011, follow-up, Livid, which didn’t make the same aggressive mark (though both films have been tipped to be remade in English). Now, we’re excited to see their third union, and scant plot details have us excited. We’re hoping Ms. Dalle is back, front and center.
