Débarquement d'une mouche (1897)
This Lumiere Brothers film has the camera stationed off the ramp of a ferry whose riders are getting off. The camera basically just stays there and captures the entire group of people getting off. This was a pretty good actuality film for a number of reasons but the biggest is the fact that it captures a wide range of people. It's always fascinating getting to see these old films as they give you an authentic look at how things were back in the day. This here allows you to see what type of clothing people were wearing. The funny thing is that most people walk right by the camera without even looking at it. There are a few examples of people slowing down to look at it with one obvious example being someone who appears to be under arrest.
