The film got delayed due to Govinda not giving shooting dates.
A video cassette with songs of Govinda was released in 1989. It was titled "Naach Govinda Naach".
Mayur went complaining to the media that Govinda got his role slashed after seeing the rushes. Govinda and Mayur did a dance song together. Govinda felt Mayur had a better costume on and danced better than Govinda. This is when Govinda insisted that Mayur's role and footage be cut or else he would no longer shoot for the film. Mayur claimed that Govinda would be nice on his face but would do a volt face once he turned his back.
The film did not have a theatrical release in British Columbia, Canada.
Technotronic song "Pump Up The Jam" was used in the title sequence of the film Naach Govinda Naach. Thee song would later be sampled for the song "Soni Di Nakhre" in the movie Partner.
