Bay Mills is currently under a first-look deal at Boat Rocker.
“Shrek 2” and “Sausage Party” director Conrad Vernon will helm the pilot from a script penned by Charlie Kesslering; both will executive produce.
Per the official synopsis, Christopher Robin is a disillusioned New Yorker navigating his quarter-life crisis with the help of the weird talking animals who live beyond a drug-induced portal outside his derelict apartment complex, the Hundred Acres.

Peacock’s limited drama series A Friend Of The Family continues to build its cast, adding Austin Stowell (The Hating Game), Patrick Fischler (American Crime Story: Impeachment), Bree Elrod (Red Rocket) and Philip Ettinger (First Reformed). They will join previously announced stars Anna Paquin, Jake Lacy, Lio Tipton, Mckenna Grace and Hendrix Yancey. A Friend Of The Family comes from Nick Antosca, who serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer.
A Friend Of the Family is based on the harrowing true story of the Broberg family, whose daughter Jan was kidnapped multiple times over a period of years by a charismatic, obsessed family “friend.” The Brobergs — devoted to their faith, family, and community — were utterly unprepared for the sophisticated tactics their neighbor used to exploit their vulnerabilities, drive them apart, and turn their daughter against them. This is the story of how their lives were permanently altered — and how they survived.

Chris Meloni might not have been looking for a sign that his return to the Law & Order universe was a good idea, but he certainly got one on the day he filmed for the first time — in quite some time — with former co-star/longtime friend Mariska Hargitay.
Meloni was at a nighttime location shoot for a scene in Thursday’s Law & Order: Svu two-hour crossover event (NBC, 9/8c), which also will serve as the premiere for his spinoff, Organized Crime. He was leaving his trailer just as a woman happened to walk by.

While Amazon’s anticipated Lord of the Rings television series has been fueling fan speculation for years now, it has yet to supply the convenience of an actual title. Indeed, the series, currently in production in New Zealand, continues to be referred to in an official capacity under the generic placeholder of The Lord of the Rings on Prime. However, the show’s latest development, the addition of director Wayne Che Yip, was revealed with an intriguing image that has fans speculating that a title might have been secretly decided.
Amazon officially revealed that Wayne Che Yip will direct four episodes for Lord of the Rings, and will also serve as co-executive producer. It’s a solid addition for the series, with the British Chinese helmer having put together an impressive string of small screen genre work from episodes of shows such as Doom Patrol, Hunters, Happy!, Into the Badlands,...

The Right Stuff features a superb cast, and we had the chance to jump on the phone with Patrick Fischler, an actor with quite an impressive resume.

Today, we're speaking with him about his role as the first director of NASA's Director of Project Mercury, Bob Gilruth, on the Disney+ series, The Right Stuff.
I hope you enjoy getting to know Patrick and his character a little better.
Tell me a little bit about your familiarity with the origins of NASA and The Right Stuff book and film before you joined the show.
Before I joined the show, very, very little. I had actually not read the book.
I'd seen the movie when I was a teenager and hadn't seen it since then. Was not a space fanatic, was not someone who's particularly interested in space,...

Grant Morrison has been chatting about his time working on The Flash movie with its still-attached star, Ezra Miller. The two united to pen their own script for the Scarlet Speedster solo project back in the early months of 2019 after “a clash of creative visions” with the film’s previous directing team, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Morrison opened up about his attempt at writing The Flash in a new interview with Collider while promoting his new Peacock series Brave New World.
“Ezra Miller and I wrote that [script] last year,” he said. “I thought we had a really good version of The Flash and we wrote it as fast as The Flash, because it was so demanding, and it was pretty good. And I think after a few drafts, it would have been great. But the way some studios work, these things just come and go.

WWE wrestler Paul “The Big Show” Wight’s body of work in Hollywood is growing almost as fast as his actual body did as a young man.
With all the new opportunities, including a recent run on Syfy’s “Happy!” and now his own Netflix family sitcom “The Big Show Show,” Wight’s had to accelerate the journey from crafting a pro-wrestling character to actually inhabiting roles.
He’s had some good teachers — including the indirect ones.

Grant Morrison has been riding out the coronavirus pandemic at a safe distance from Hollywood.

Christopher Meloni is returning to the Law & Order universe.
THR is reporting that the actor is set to star in a spinoff, which has scored a straight to series order.
Thirteen episodes have been ordered for the series, which will bring Meloni back into the fold as Elliot Stabler.
The series order comes on the heels of Svu scoring a landmark three-season renewal that will keep it on the air until at least 2023.
Dick Wolf recently signed a huge deal to stay put at NBC, and the pact paved the way for the renewal mentioned above, as well as renewals for three seasons each for Chicago Fire, Med, and Pd.
As far as plot details go, all THR is reporting is that the show will focus on an NYPD organized crime unit led by Stabler.
It should also allow for organic crossovers between Svu.

The world's first superhero, the Man of Bronze, is coming to the small screen, with a Doc Savage TV series now in development.
Get ready for a Doc Savage TV series. Wait...who the hell is Doc Savage? I’m So Glad You Asked!
Doc Savage is one of the most important characters in 20th century pop culture, and perhaps the most important one you never heard of. One of the early 1930s boom of pulp and adventure strip characters, Doc Savage is an essential piece of superhero history, long before anyone had bothered to invent the word. You could say that Doc Savage, the Shadow, and Flash Gordon are the “Holy Trinity” upon which most comic book superheroes drew the most inspiration from.
Created in 1933 by Henry Ralston, John L. Nanovic, and Lester Dent, Doc Savage was the subject of nearly 200 pulp novels, most of which...

After you're done being terrified by Joker's fresh new trailer, you might be wondering if the creepy Batman spinoff will feature the Dark Knight himself. At its core, this movie, set in Gotham City in the '80s, is really the Joker's party since it'll serve as an origin story for the DC villain (who's portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix). The main cast, stacked as it is, indicates no one playing Batman. Well, technically speaking, we'll still see Bruce Wayne, just not in his iconic Batsuit or past his teenage years.
If you were paying close attention to the trailer, you might have noticed a quick glimpse of young Bruce Wayne in a pretty disturbing shot. In one brief moment (at 1:47), Arthur sticks his finger inside of Bruce's mouth to replicate his notoriously creepy Cheshire grin. Kid Batman is played by Dante Pereira-Olson, who has recently appeared on the series Happy! as Gerry Scaramucci.

Bitter Root is set in 1924 against the vibrant backdrop of the Harlem Renaissance where a family of once-great monster hunters is the only line of defense that can protect New York City from an unimaginable evil that is approaching — an invasion by hideous monsters that were once human beings before they were transmogrified by a supernatural force feeding off of prejudice, spite, and bigotry. By all appearances, the Sangeryes family is not up for the challenge. After generations of tracking, trapping, and curing the monsters, the few surviving members of the Sangeryes line are dispirited and divided over their traditionally merciful tactics. When Syfy decided to transform Grant Morrison’s Happy! comic book series into a TV show, many were understandably taken aback. Not because of the graph novel’s intensely violent and crude subject matter (which the first season unabashedly dove head-first into), but for the length. The limited series ran for only four issues. The first season of Happy!, meanwhile, consisted of eight hour-long episodes. How the hell does that work?
Depending on who you ask, it either does or doesn’t. But Syfy and the show’s fans were happy enough with the result, which is why Happy! is back for a second season consisting of yet another eight episodes. This time, however, Morrison, executive producer and director Brian Taylor, writer and associate...

The veteran actor opens up about his otherwise deadly serious approach to playing a crazed ex-cop turned hitman.
If Detective Elliot Stabler of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is all you think about whenever you see Christopher Meloni, then you don’t know Christopher Meloni. From Wet Hot American Summer and the Harold & Kumar movies to Man of Steel, the actor has contorted himself so much that it’s almost impossible to know who he is. This is especially true of his work on Syfy’s deranged comedy series Happy!, in which he plays the alcoholic ex-cop turned hitman Nick Sax.
Meloni frequently dials everything up to 11 and beyond in Happy! Season 2 which premieres Wednesday, March 27th at 10 p.m. Et/Pt. Yet this doesn’t mean that Meloni and Sax are one in the same, right?
“Hold on a minute,” he told Den of Geek during a phone interview last week.

Hulu and Marvel Television have partnered to produce four adult animated series, Variety has learned.
The shows will be based on the following Marvel characters: Howard the Duck, M.O.D.O.K, Hit-Monkey, and Tigra and Dazzler. Like the Marvel-Netflix “Defenders” shows before them, the four characters will then team up in the animated special “The Offenders.” Marvel’s head of TV, Jeph Loeb, will executive produce each project. Disney–which owns Marvel–will become a majority shareholder in Hulu once the Fox-Disney merger is completed.
“Howard the Duck” will be written and executive produced by Kevin Smith and Dave Willis. Smith is known for his Askewniverse films, including “Clerks,” “Mallrats,” and “Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.” Smith has also written for Marvel Comics in the past, writing for popular characters like Daredevil and Spider-Man. Willis previously co-created popular animated shows like “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” and...

The world of Gilead is expanding even further in the third season of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” with Christopher Meloni and Elizabeth Reaser joining the cast in guest starring roles.
Meloni, who is best known for “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” as well as his current starring role on Syfy’s “Happy!”, will play Commander Winslow, a “powerful and magnetic commander who hosts the Waterfords on an important trip.” Reaser will play his wife, Mrs. Winslow, who becomes a “friend and inspiration” to Yvonne Strahovski’s Serena Joy.
The third season of the show, which will premiere on Hulu later this year, will be driven by titular handmaid June’s (Elisabeth Moss) resistance to the dystopian regime of Gilead, in which she finds herself once again after opting not to flee to Canada with her baby at the end of the second season. Now, she will struggle to strike...

Star Christopher Meloni and the cast and creators of Happy! tease an even raunchier second season.
If you watched all eight episodes of the first season of Happy!, Syfy’s incredibly violent and silly show starring Wet Hot American Summer and Law & Order alum Christopher Meloni and comedian Patton Oswalt, then bless you.
No, that’s not to suggest that the series adapted from Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson’s four-issue comic book story is bad, because it’s nothing of the sort. In fact, Happy! quickly became one of the genre cable outlet’s most talked-about debuts in 2017, thanks mostly to Morrison and series co-creator Brian Taylor’s approach to adapting the short-form comic. Happy! also owes its success to Meloni and Oswalt’s performances as detective-turned-hit man Nick Sax and the show’s titular imaginary unicorn.
