Our man is capable of anything!

"Russkiy krest" is a film that you should see. This is an adaptation of the poem of the same name by the famous poet Nikolai Melnikov, and I can frankly say that this work is worthy of attention, which has long been asking for the big screens. The film itself turned out to be inspiring, kind and instructive.

The plot unfolds in a small village where Ivan Rostock lives. Once he had a family, but he destroyed his happiness with his own hands, and now virtually no one needs him, except perhaps the old man, who, as best he can, is trying to guide the hero on the path of truth. But only a meeting with an angel changes Ivan and gives him a guiding light of life.

Having volunteered to restore the local church on his own, Ivan gets to work, although he understands that this is not that easy. But after all, the temple is a symbol of holiness and purity, and it is he who should give hope to people around. Ehere is no doubt that Ivan will try to do everything and even more to fulfill the promise.

This is one of the few films that is actually fun to watch. The characters of people, their motivation and the conclusions they draw from the whole story are important here. In particular, I want to praise Mikhail Porechenkov, he played very well. Ivan Rostock is his best role in a long time.

In my opinion, this movie is definitely worth watching. The authors did a decent job and pleased us with a story that gives exceptional emotions and is able to surprise in a pleasant way.

It's never too late to start from scratch

Warning: Spoilers
One of the most promising Russian-made films for a long time has finally come out on the screens. We are talking, as you might guess, about a film called "Russkiy krest". It appealed to me because the main roles are played by Mikhail Porechenkov, Polina Chernyshova and Yuri Kuznetsov. Futhermore, the plot itself deserves a detailed discussion.

The protagonist here is Ivan Rostock, a man who's lost everything, who has no purpose and literally burns his life down. He no longer believes that something can change in his life, but one night he meets a real angel and regained the meaning of his life.

From now on, Ivan takes on a task that everyone considered unnecessary and completely exhausting, namely the restoration of the village church. Ivan's enthusiasm is limitless, and what's a greater good, the locals also tend to help him with his work. It leads to unexpected results.

First of all, this movie is about an ordinary man who manages to pull himself together and change his life. And even more than that, the "Russkiy krest " tells that even one person can perform a real feat if he sets a task that brings Good. So, this movie is definitely worth watching.

Religious clownery

Warning: Spoilers
The scenes are so badly filmed it's funny, this movie is a spit in your face for your money. The story is told in the form of a poem, but the rhymes are terrible in some places and not at all in others. The actors do not even try to play their roles, the main character hides his "severed" hand in his pocket and almost laughs when he loses it. The only good things about this movie are the premise and the ending. The ending is touching and sincere, and the message says that it's better to remember God once again in order to throw off the spiritual burden. Idea is good. Production, actors and plot - are terrible.
