After the picture perfect character development last week we now get the second part of that with great dialogue and something to learn.
The story of this episode may be easy to follow and the plottwists are expectable but the core message behind it is the great thing. It's again a story of oppression this time not by the empire but by a brutal cold gangster using children to make profit and giving them barely enough food to survive. The story of oppression under an authoritarian leader was always one of the big stories of the star Wars franchise.
I also want to mention the incredible use of the Bad Batch Theme. They only use it a few times in the wohle show but always at moments where it perfectly fits. Like this episodes scene showing Hunter rescuing Omega while the theme plays. This is how to create great moments with music!
I think this was a typical bad batch episode with the batch playing the main role. Unlike many others I like those episodes and do not need a climatic showdown every week.

A direct following of the last episode. The Batch has to find its stolen ship and in the process they learn about the thief. It is a nice, kid-friendly story and visually quite good.
I was annoyed with many aspects of the previous episode, especially because it portrayed the Batch as amateurs. The beginning of this chapter was more of the same for me, with one team member behaving like a child. And no, not Omega. But then, it got better. I particularly liked that they cared about the droid and, of course, about each other. I would like to see some of the characters of this episode in a future one.

Despite the stunning visuals, The Bad Batch continues to disappoint in terms of plot development and achievement. The latest episode follows a formulaic plot, borrowing heavily from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and offers little in the way of originality or excitement. The fact that the group has consistently failed in their missions this season is concerning and makes it difficult to root for them as protagonists. However, the impressive visual effects and attention to detail in the animation are undeniable strengths of the show.
Still, looking forward to the next episode and hopefully more episodes with Cross Hair.

I love the Clone Wars and I really want to love this but it really isn't going anywhere a lot of time and that's a shame as they have a fantastic opportunity to build on what's happening in the galaxy between ROTS and ANH. Here's hoping that this story depends with more interesting plots, characters and development.
Where are the Jedi? Where are the Inquisitors? We can have some stories with Palpatine and Vader, deepen the story with Crosshair, see what's gonna happen with Rex and Echo, the possibilities are limitless but it seems that the writers are too easily giving in to the story of the week as opposed to adding to the mythology.

-untrustworthy kid
-listens to untrustworthy kid
-untrustworthy kid betrays mc
-untrustworthy kid redeems himself
-forgiven for almost killing mc and starts no drama at all
-bad guy has less depth then a modern far cry villain
-"take my hand" then "Ill take you down with me" cliche
Would've been nice to see Hunter get pissed off at Benny for almost letting Omega die because he trusted him. That would've shined his father figure arc for Omega, but he's forgiven cause he's a lil goofball, I get he's been manipulated by his boss but it still doesn't make sense why he doesn't do a sincere apology to Hunter.
Less filler content please and more character development please.
