this is the best drama i have ever watched, the way she manage to write the story its awesome, specially da dialogue by BANO brother to her mom, 'Ammi BANO ka galla daba do' means kill bano its fab, i bet it will make you cry, the cast is superb sanam, fawad n ahsan, da only missing thing is that they didn't give much importance to the set, thats why i rated it 9 otherwise in each n every field its 10/10. thats why it was nominated for 9 award and won 6 out of that. drama is full of emotions and it touched the peak at the time when Bano says to his mother, "I can forget everything in this world. I can forget that I am Naseeruddin's daughter, that I am the sister of Faheem and Saleem, and that I am Hassan's fiancé. But I can never forget that I am first and foremost a Muslim. I will never bow down to your Guru Granth Sahib!" simply Awesome

I first watched it when it was aired by hum TV in 2010. I was not mature enough to take it seriously back then. Now, that I have watched it again and to be very honest I cried my heart out. They deserve a bow for the production. Amazingly depicted. It would be a lot better not to mention it as a drama, Just because of the fact that it actually happened to the Muslims of subcontinent during migration. I watched it in a day. And now that after viewing it I'm actually very much depressed and upset as I took it too deeply. I don't know what kinda depression the whole crew may have gotten through while filming it. I figured just one flaw. I didn't like the ending. Hassan was made for Baanu. It was too sad to see her in Mental Asylum. SPEECHLESS !

A mind blowing performance by Sanam Baloch. Her performance reminds us that we as a nation are in debt of daughters like Baano. They have sacrificed everything for this country. A very powerful script. All cast did the justice with their roles but Sanam Baloch was outclass. Her performance was such powerful that it makes you cry during many occasions. I will give it 10 out 10 but I was disappointed by the ending. Once Baano reached Pakistan the attitude of Hassan Mom was not understandable. How on the earth she can turn into a witch. A part from this everything was so realistic. Don't forget Baano was their own She was their relative and the way Hassan Mom turned into cold blooded this was not our family systems No mother specially during the time of partition can turn her eye from her own girl who had gone through from such nightmares. Baano deserves better ending if writer had done that even in the last episode when she came back to Hassan I will give her full marks

I watched this drama recently. I finished it in 1 day. And I couldn't stop tears from my eyes. and I want everyone to watch this drama so that people realize that how hardly our forefathers got this country and laid down their lives. And maybe they starts loving and caring to our beloved country as I did.

This historical drama is a must watch for everyone. It portrays the 1947 Partition of India and Pakistan and what happened to two families during and after the history making event. The acting was superb; there are not enough adjectives to describe the depth of the actors ability to bring to life the experiences associated with the birth of a nation. Suffice it to say, you must watch it to understand it from a Muslim perspective. It will make you weep and it will depress you, but it will also make you THINK because it represents real life events. Take a bow, Sonam, Fawad and the rest of the wonderful cast - you really deserve it!

I have never seen such a drama that shaked my heart like this, such a rich in emotion drama ,i can't get out of it all the day, sometimes i just sit,think and laugh that i have been living in fiction since 10 days round the clock. There are so many things that connect your soul with so many different dimensions.living in current world without even barely touching each other in show these drama proves that ruhaniyat can mingle with ruhaniyat.it's not just a show about genocide or india pakistan culture, every time i think about hasan rabiya bano or suraiya my heart get fill with the power of one's characteristic love for the goal.i can't Stop writing about it,i will just beg you all to watch this show and feel so filled like me.

This is one of the most underrated serials of Pakistan. I can't even recount how many times I broke down while watching this serial. A mudt watch for lovers of historical fiction and romance. Brilliant acting by all the characters especially Sanam Baloch. Brilliant scriptwriting and brutally tragic and realistic plot. This show is brilliant in every aspect and I honestly wished it was more famous.

Yes indeed its a sad story, but every citizen of both India & Pakistan should watch this show to know how much both countries have sacrificed to gain independence. And even after independence this country was divided into 3 parts on the basis of religion only.
Just 30% of the story is about human love rest 70% is about love towards your own country and motherland.

The starting episodes were amazing the chemistry between bano and hassan was really extraordinary and ost in background was heart touching, as the event of partition occurs it destroyed everything even i cried as many time as till she reached her Homeland Pakistan. But after that i was totally upset by the behavior of rabia and her mom with bano rabia was a bit negative she wanted hassan at any cost and thats what i really don't like about the serial the important thing hassans attitude also changed as bano arrived in Pakistan just two episodes before he was saying k bano or mera ruuhhh (soul) ka rishta hai just after two episodes he says k bano meri zimdari he what the hell is this you love her that so deeper than what is the point to say like k wo meri zimedari he that means he took her as burden over him. And finally last episode i was thinking everything will be fine now but what the hell story writer did to bano was that she was in the jail with wosrt mental condition she deserves to be hassans wife after all she did so many sacrifices and at the end she had the right to be Happy for ever not rabia

The serial is beautifully done with the exact amount of simplicity and decency. Fawad khan has a way with his words while delivering it. He's simply brilliant with his facial expressions, body posture and reflex movements. Sanam balooch has done a fabulous job too. The transition from an innocent and naive girl to a mentally disturbed and depressed girl is portrayed perfectly on screen by Sanam. She's won the audience's heart. The intensity of the serial is unbelievable. History, romance and drama beautifully consolidated in one tv serial. It's so underrated. I pity those who still haven't watched this masterpiece. I recommend all to watch it because indeed art has no boundaries.

Tried watching the whole drama in one night but was overcome with sadness , been crying most of the time , superb script and acting, my dads family migrated from utter pardesh and we grew up hearing these stories of , massacres , rapes ,murders, looting ... it was so overwhelming watching it on tv!now my eyes and nose are swollen!
We have abused our beloved country and taken this azaadi for granted , may Allah protect our country , long live Pakistan .
Didn't like Sangeeta's acting may be she could learn something from sanam baloch !!
