Sequel of sorts to 'Behind Locked Doors'
movieman_kev25 July 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Jess, serving life for killing Big Aggie (who got Lacey in the final moments of 'Behind Locked Doors' the first episode of the series) in self-defense, plots a way to escape the hellhole of prison life, Rafe, also from the aforementioned episode gets caught up in the shenanigans.

To get full enjoyment out of this episode, one needs to have been watching the show from the beginning which would be fine for a serialized series and all, but not so much for an anthology show. This isn't the first episode to hearken back to previous episodes and I doubt it'll be the last. And while I did enjoy it, I can't help but prefer the stand-alone episodes better.

Eye Candy: Heidi James goes full frontal, Jo Newman and Anne Lee Greene both show T&A

Warning: Spoilers
Femme Fatales is a Skinemax series (certain to last maybe three seasons and pop up in movie collections later on) about sirens using their sex appeal and feminine wiles to lure men into their web, usually with the goal of securing something in particular whether it be revenge, money, fame, escape, etc. In "Jailbreak", Jess (Jo Newman, quite a babe) is planning to break out of prison at the urging of Katrina, so she can meet up with her bank-robber beau and get the money they stole together…let's just say things don't go according to plan. Prison security guard, Rafe (Will Poston), is in lust with Jess and could factor into the conclusion of this story, first used by his object of desire to escape from the female penitentiary, and later perhaps her savior. Betrayal factors heavily into the story, but before the prison break, you get the usual tropes (an attempted rape, secret sex meetings arranged, prisoners going off the deep end, a murder wrap hung on an innocent prisoner who was only defending herself…), with the rest of this episode featuring back-stabbing and treachery. Who's playing who? There's more than meets the eye. This episode has nothing surprising to it. I knew right away that a particular character was more than she appeared, and that Rafe would come to Jess' rescue, although she doesn't deserve it. Lots of sex, with Anne Lee Green and Jo Newman both showing their impressive nude bodies. The most evil of the characters is the boy toy of all the girls as he lands a third babe in the sack at the very end. Newman shows a surprising toughness in spite of her model looks—it is important that she have an allure that would bring a rejected man back to her, even if it is perhaps all too obvious that Rafe is her source for retrieving the money she lost. Sadly a potential lesbian encounter (well, one-sided), with the particular use of a knife to gain a possible rape victim's cooperation used effectively, doesn't pan out (not that it should, but a good lesbian encounter in a women's prison seems almost expected).
