Cam and Mitchell use the bull and matador costume much like the company logo for Picador Productions at the end of each episode.
When Luke and Reuben are advising Manny about whether to meet Durkas, Luke is dressed as a devil over Manny's left shoulder while Reuben is wearing an Angels jersey over his right shoulder. This is a reference to the traditional trope of having an angel on your right shoulder giving good advice and a devil on your left shoulder giving bad advice.
Haley is absent from this episode because Sarah Hyland was recovering from kidney surgery at the time of filming.
