THE BEST KDRAMA I'VE EVER WATCHED
zeerahazis9 January 2023
This kdrama is literally so good. If you're not watching this, you're missing out BIG TIME. Love this series so much. It really made me cry a lot tho. But also laugh a lot too. I'm telling you, you won't regret watching this. Ever. If this ended up being in one of your favourites, just don't be surprise. It's THAT GOOD. Also, idk about yall but it was kinda hard for me to watch season 2 because the actor was different from the one in season 1. But, PLEASE give it a chance. YOU WON'T REGRET IT. You'll ended loving her too . Tbh this drama deserves more than a 10/10 rating. If I could rate it even higher, I would.

Season 2 was a disappointment. Bad story and acting.

Season 2 was a disappointment. Bad story and acting.

The girl who returns to Naksu was expressionless and for most of the scenes she looked stiff as if she didn't know what to do. Since she was full of kisses, many argue that there was a good feeling, but for me the way in which the two protagonists approached was slow and forced. In 10 episodes I couldn't do much and the story lost. They were too concentrated on the main couple to watch everything else: the secondary characters are not characterized adequately and it's a pity because after 3 years I would have liked to see their inner growth better while the facts are told through flashbacks just to give answers to the first part of history. The link between the sisters found and the final surrender by the mother is missing. I don't understand how the Jin family was left behind after everything they've been through. Too bad I now have more questions than answers. Eventually they remember that Jin Mu exists. The real action takes place in the last two episodes where there are some real twists, but everything happens too quickly. Just to get rid of the story. I've never seen such a dumb ending. If the first part is worth it, I can't say the same for the second. It was not worthy of the work done in the first part.

Mu-Deok, The Heartbeat of 'Alchemy of Souls'
sumonohemod15 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Mu-Deok's(Jung So-Min) presence in 'Alchemy of Souls' is like the very heart and soul of the show for me. Every scene, every moment seems to revolve around this character, and without Mu-Deok, it's almost as if the essence of the drama is incomplete. When Season 2 unfolded, my anticipation was high, but alas, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. The initial episodes left me with a sense of bewilderment and sorrow, as the storyline seemed to take a direction that clashed with everything I had grown to cherish about the show.

It's astonishing how the writers managed to dismantle the intricate web of emotions they had so brilliantly woven in the first season. The depth of my attachment to the characters was suddenly overshadowed by a perplexing plot twist that seemed to come out of nowhere. The emotional investment I had made in the journey of these characters was disregarded, leaving me feeling disconnected and disheartened.

I can't help but question the motivations of the writers during the creation of Season 2. What was their thought process? What led them to make choices that not only disregarded the delicate balance of emotions but also disregarded the rapport they had built with the audience? It's as if they took something beautiful and deliberately dismantled it, leaving fans like me in a state of disillusionment.
