This episode isn't bad, mainly thanks to a beautifully layered performance from Robert Mammone, who manages to play a broken man without really showing much emotion at all, and some good characterisation for Sasha and Ruby. But it fails on a few levels, most of them involving April and Romeo. The former isn't all that sympathetic, although fortunately the episode doesn't focus on her that much, while the latter feels like an unwelcome intrusion, being bitter and jealous in a situation that doesn't really call for it.
It also beggars belief that Liam and Indi keep Ruby's phone message secret.Presumably someone didn't want to have the aftermath of the accident and the investigation in the same episode but it just feels like we're only getting half the story. It's a shame too that her conversation with Romeo seems designed purely to absolve the latter of responsibility.
