Good or bad
kosmasp7 September 2023
Who are we to judge, yes? So no pun intended as always. This may be the first of a trilogy ... or is it more? I only know there will be a third one, because Netflix told me after I finished the sequel! This begins quite interestingly .. action followed by ... some drama. We get thrown into the whole thing. And we feel for our male main character. Well I would hope we do (I do, I mean everyone else).

Of course him being of a certain age and having a past relationship ... beginning a new one ... with someone way younger than himself. It may sound a bit like male fantasy ... but the problems he has to endure .. not so much things one wants to have to worry about. Well told, even if I reckon it could be a bit tighter overall. 10 days in 2 hours .. another 10 days ahead ... (and another)

Better than expected

I started the movie randomly and I can say that it was flowing while watching it. The acting and the expression of emotion are generally good. I think the movie is above Turkish standards. Nejat Isler is generally charismatic and a good actor. He reflects his own aura well on the character. The shots are also good and metaphorical elements are used appropriately. In fact, the use of the jacket metaphor is no longer a bit cool. Waiting for the bad man, it can turn into an exciting series. There are some clichés, but it is enjoyable to watch from the perspective of Turkey. Overall, I'd say it looks promising.

An adaptation at an elementary school level

Warning: Spoilers
I don't know which part of the movie to focus on first, but the movie is really bad, and the main reason for this is that it fails to be an absurd mystery movie. The mystery part is so weak that you don't even feel curious, and you only laugh at some of the absurd parts.

We should make a separate mention of Nejat Isler, he was too much for this movie, and he was the only person who played well and added something to the movie. He can't be compared with the others.

The acting was unbelievably bad, terribly bad, as if they had gathered the team from the neighborhood, and supposedly, there were important actresses and actors of Turkey, but they were all terrible. If they watch the movie later, which I am sure they won't, they will realize that they are not suitable for this role.

Let's talk about the costume-makeup duo, it was the most careless thing in the movie, they not only did not spend money, but they also did not spend the money they had on something good. Especially the makeup of the twins was the worst makeup I have ever seen, I was ashamed.

The events in the movie were so disjointed and meaningless that I not only lost interest, but also got crazy because some scenes were not given importance. It is a separate success to gather this cast with such a low perspective. Especially not being able to detail and explain left a inexplicable emptiness in the characters, and you can't connect them, and you even wish that some of them would be removed from the movie. I also want to say to the actresses who played the prostitute roles that you are really bad. Would you please watch this movie and see if it satisfies you?

The director was also extraordinarily ordinary, he did not add anything to the movie, and it felt like it was made up of scenes in the quality of daily vlogs. I wish they had tried to be careful and bring out the potential.

It was also a disaster in terms of drama, how did they manage to bring emotional scenes down to the level of comedy, I would like them to explain it to me with an email. I am so curious about how they achieved this mediocrity. Although the events in the mystery part could have been interesting, they turned out to be plain, and they missed giving a social message. Really.

In short, except for Nejat Isler's effort, I have never watched such a detail-less, emotionless, decor-less, artificial, drama-killer, and cinematographically disappointing adaptation. Their lack of detail ruined the movie, and I have so many disappointments that I cannot list them all. I may have forgotten some of them while writing about the movie, but in this era, I think it is not worth watching, it is bad. Lastly, I really wanted to praise the movie, and it seems that there will be a sequel, I hope it does not continue at this level.

Excellent Movie
gunes-1705210 March 2023
One of the best movies i have watched for a long time. I will certainly Watch it again to catch up the parts i have missed and to better figure the hidden messages and facts.

The movie brings several aspects of crimes together that can be observed in Turkey, as well as in all over the world. Really staggering to see so many bad people together in the same arena. My Congratulations goes to the author Mehmet Eroglu and to the staff who brought this story with very successful Artists into our screen. Also thank to Netflix for supporting film industry.

Looking forward to the next volumes of the Triology.

10 days of a good man started out as good movie. We were introduced to this man called sadik and his girlfriend. Until we see that he has another. Both woman are beautiful but really he should be honest. He is looking into a missing persons case that feels like to me it turns into a lot of different things and ultimatly as a result it was hard to follow and I thought the movie became a bit boring after that. If it had been straightfoword it would have made a lot more sense and been enjoyable. But as it stands 10 days of a good man was a mess. The cast were alright and some were better than others but overall it was not a great film.

Great Turkish crime movie
drlevent5 March 2023
Wow! I really loved this movie. Please take your time to watch this one if you want to see a good example of an exciting crime movie from Turkey. You will not regret if you do. The story is well structured and the level of violence and sex is not exaggerated. I think the producers could easily use the story content to extend the movie from 2 hours to 3, but probably they did not want to take any risk. I hope the translation language is good enough for you be because I was lucky to understand the original language. My only suggestion would be that the main actor not resist having a bit of Botox around his eyes and dye his hair. We like him very much.

Excellent Turkish Crime Movie
olivesandvines15 March 2023
Iyi Adamin 10 Gunu is a wonderful crime movie. It's a better "hardboiled criminal fiction" film than anything else in the Raymond Chandler canon. There are numerous allusions to Chandler and his famous investigator, Philip Marlowe. The story of Mehmet Eroglu takes this style to Istanbul, Turkey. The movie follows a common yet multilayered plot that introduces us to a variety of complex individuals, local concerns, crooked lawyers, local mobsters, illegal immigrants, violence, love, justice, human traffickers, sex workers, and freaks. Gorgeous Istanbul scenes set the tone for the story. The characters and performances, as well as the story's consistency, are excellent. Putting them together results in an excellent crime movie. We are lucky because it is the first movie of a trilogy.

Nejat made it again.

Warning: Spoilers
I started watching the movie by accident. I didn't know anything about the movie before. Even my wife did not want to start because of the harsh-realistic - dark expressions in the explanations. I can't criticize the movie artistically - but as an old man who has watched hundreds of movies, I was very excited - enjoyed it. I haven't seen a movie like this in a long time. The decor was very well chosen, the colors -, the scene transitions and the actors were excellent - the plot was absolutely gripping - the dialogues were understated and simple. I also likened Good Man to Celil Oker's Remzi Unal character and I loved it. Well done to the author. I must add that after one Hollywood celebrity and a few million dollars movies, it felt good to watch a real and human movie. It's good to see he drink the milk like Dude. It's a nice irony that the movie has a happy ending at the end - the bad guys are punished by the organized villains. Congratulations to Nejat Isler. I hope they continue the series with better themes and characters.

Slow-paced mystery with good characters
gabriel_sanchez25 May 2023
Iyi Adamin 10 Günü is a good film about innocence and naivety, adapted from the work of Mehmet Eroglu. Despite the slow pace, the charismatic characters hold the plot together enough for you to follow Sadik on his journey to unravel Tevfik's disappearance.

I imagine that Eroglu's work develops the characters better, even if the film does a fair job. The performances are acceptable and the cinematography in general shows us the power that Turkish cinema has to offer.

The story of Iyi Adamin 10 Günü follows Sadik, a private investigator hired to find the missing Tevfik. His investigation takes him deep into Turkey's underworld, bringing to light the criminal activities that stain, or have stained, the country's history.

If you like mystery movies, this is a good movie if you have an open mind to foreign cinemas. The difference between this type of cinema and mainstream conventional cinema can overshadow the quality of this film, but Iyi Adamin 10 Günü guarantees a good investigation story with good character development.

Loved the movie and what a role sadik played
ashishjoy21 July 2023
You know this is why you like to see the movies. The hood overcoming evil, mystery, the morally good detective and family and friends who are genuine and loving. This is not a whodunit. But it's a mystery and the emotions that we like about a good detective that draws you into movies or series.

Watch it for the story and how he unravels the mystery of the the missing person.

The characters are superb. Wants to me visit Turkey. Looks like a beautiful place.

The story around the tropical island dream is always there and it's a sweet thing.

Overall highly recommended and want to watch again and again.

A Neo Noir movie with a satisfying ending!
soumayab2 July 2023
Following Sadeq the ex lawyer who lives like a homeless person in this 10 days journey to solve a mystery was very entertaining, intriguing, interesting and like a good witty well written crime novel was very captivating.

I am a huge fan of Turkish drama, and this movie surprised me, it was riveting, captivating with a very satisfying ending. For once, good people do get rewarded and bad people get justice. Life is not fair, but the message of the movie is very hopeful ... a message that any Sadiq (trustworthy) good human can get a share of happiness without giving up his values and selling his soul to the devil.
