Honestly when I saw that a web series was being made with Harshavardhan and Amani as a pair and Raj Tarun was the main lead with Shivani as the female lead, I was quite excited. I only needed to hear Harshavardhan's name and watched it for him only as an Amrutham fan, for us Amrutham fans, Harshavardhan doesn't disappoint, he is golden, but the makers disappoint by not giving us enough of him.
It is about a guy who promises not to see any girl and marry whoever his parents arrange in exchange for his father's promise not to hit him. Hence, he grows up accordingly as he notices whenever he does look at a girl, his father meets in some sort of accident. Then when he does get an arranged marriage, the bride runs away with someone else and out of rage Raj Tarun is convinced to seek revenge.
The first half of the web series is quite nice, it's a decent rom com, nothing too special or unique, yet decent. It's quite easy to get through and you want to go through it quickly because of the cast, they are quite good and the only saving grace of the web series. The series takes a lot of predictable and cliched steps, none of the twists feel as satisfying for this reason. The climax was quite underwhelming and unnecessarily melodramatic for the breezy rom com it was promising.
Honestly the series ends on a dull note, the last 2 episodes felt like things were going downhill from there and the predictability and unnecessary melodrama made me groan despite looking for a solid rom com. The whole terrorist/hijacker thread was something anyone could predict the second the character was introduced as a hitchhiker. Honestly the series felt like it was planned to be a movie, but due to length it was edited to fit a web series format.
Overall, it's a series that relies on the cast and their timing and charisma with solid first half of the series but the last few eps fall apart quickly. (5.75/10)
