The entire film shoot only lasted 8 hours. Director Christina Raia had a very precise way she wanted to shoot the film, moving around the group circle in medium close-ups. Due to the inability to use the lights in such a tight space, they ended up using overhead lighting, which resulted in a much shorter shooting day.
The character of Jonathan is a caricature of John Wayne Gacy. Actor Michael Lester was a miracle find because Christina Raia searched high & low for an actor who was funny and could deliver the lines exactly the way she wanted and happened to looked the part. Michael was found through a Craigslist ad.
Jerry is meant to be 25 years "sober" and now counsels other recovering "addicts."
Amy is a typical black widow but she is named after an infamous young woman who attempted murder in the 90's.
Tom is a Ted Bundy type. Initially Paul is meant to be perceived as a (heterosexual) Dahmer type but it's ambiguous whether or not both persona's are killers or if Paul's just weird and repressed and it's Tom that actually kills.
