Watch Porn Instead

I was one of the unfortunate souls who ended up at the Bel Air Film Festival to watch this "film". It was one of the worst films I have even seen and it baffles me that someone actually let this film screen at a film festival. The film is basically about a 48 year old producer who decided that he wants to settle down and have some kids, but he's too self absorbed to find the right woman. That is until his nice Japanese chiropractor sets him up with a Japanese widow. This whole "film" is a disaster from start to finish. Acting, directing, everything was bad. Do not watch. It's not one of those films that is so bad its funny. It's a waste of time.

I read on a yahoo article that the writer Erikka Fraade learned filmmaking from youtube and googling. Not a good sign. The dialogue was awful, the characters were not characters. I found the ceiling of the theater more interesting than the film. Porn makers are much better at creating interesting dialogues and situations and in porn there is a satisfying ending.

Not only was the story awful, but the actual film had no technique. Not one person on the crew knew what they were doing. The camera work was shoddy, just watch the opening sequence. Then came the lighting. The actors' faces were half in shadow and not on purpose. I also saw the boom mic come in a shot when the main character Sam was meeting his pretty Japanese lady for the first time. How could someone not catch that? Also the editing broke some of the basic rules (180 degrees) and there were plenty of unnecessary shots left in (the whole film). The film would have been better as a porno. There is better technique, acting and directing in one. Perhaps Erikka Fraade should have watched pornhub instead of youtube.
