Ramesh is a Hilarious Genius as Always

No idea what oanacazacuarion was reviewing but it wasn't this. No "parts" or episodes, only the hilarious comedic genius who is Romesh Ranganathan slaying it with his wit and irreverence for 63 minutes, true comedy gold!

By the way and not to be too obvious but he's a comic and makes jokes. So when he jokes about his family, it's just that - a joke. His mother is often in on his jokes which often include her on the brunt end. She's also part of his focus group "Ranganation" on the show of the same name. His wife and Mom both appear on "Judge Romesh" as claimant and defendant further solidifying the fact his Wife and Mother have a sense of humor and are in on the fun, so lighten up. They aren't mad so you shouldn't be either! Enjoy this amazing comedian.

Ditch the 'mother-in-law from hell' act

Thoroughly enjoyed part 1, though he went a little overboard with the kids' critique. Liked the veganism and health bits the most. The bedroom song bit needs work.

Part 2 was awful. His mother goes on a rampage of annoying, self-centred, and manipulative behaviour. She takes over and makes it all about herself, trying to pry into his private life and sneak her way into a family event by sidestepping and overruling his wife. His behaviour is no better, leaving his wife to take the fall for denying his mom's request. Mind you, he also puts his mom down throughout the show. It's so sad to see these things play out like that for other daughters-in-law.

Had it not been for part 2, I would have given it 8 stars, because the stand-up show itself was a blast. But I can't, for the life of me, understand why male comedians keep bringing their moms along in their shows; disgust toward the mom and the mama's boy and pity for the wife doesn't earn you any extra laughs or stars.

Loved stand up part

Chose this as my Christmas Eve comedy and was glad I did.

Romesh is one funny man. I saw him live at Kevin bridges a few years ago and he was funnier than headline act by far.

I laughed from start to finish. Brilliant stand up performance. Some of it I felt guilty at laughing at, like the deserved to meet a paedo at the beach part but it's the way he delivers it. You just can't help chuckling at it lol.

Part 2 was just dire. What were they thinking releasing it? It kinda put me off him a little. Maybe it was supposed to make me think the only people likeable in this family are the brother and kids lol. I don't understand why they realised it. It's why only a 5. If it's an actual representation of who Romesh is then he's a bit of a dick lol. So hopefully he's ment to come across that way, but again, I don't understand why lol.
