The film captures the essence of loss with imagery and music that makes the viewer feel the sadness and pain of trying to overcome grief. Scenes are shot in such a way that the viewer can experience the utter desolation of the main character's heart after the simple loss of someone who had been a special member of his family. I've watched it five times and each time I cry because it hits home. Having suffered similar losses, this film brought back the feelings of great grief and the reminder that there is hope of healing with loss. The choice of music was a perfect compliment to the subject and the camera work drew me in and made every viewing as poignant as the first.
