Before portraying light-hearted characters in dramas in the past, Revenge of Others was the first drama in which Shin Ye-Eun showcased more dark and complex emotions. She also said that to portray her character's menacing nature, she avoided wearing makeup other than lip color, sunscreen, and eyebrow liner.
