Sex & Nudity

  • A man gets violently tortured. He gets beat up, suffocated and then gets his scrotum fried by electrocution.
  • A boy gets beat up and bullied throughout the movie. One scene involves his father slapping him constantly (it is a test to resist pain), which ends up breaking his tooth and a boy who hits him many times in the face. Blood is shown.
  • Some poor, starving people kill a donkey by slicing it's throat (Graphic).
  • A horse dies out of poisoning, and then gets shot with a gun. The death is shown off-screen though.
  • A man violently vomits blood.
  • A midget woman hangs herself.
  • Some cripples get beat up by a man.

Profanity

  • Some "fucks", "shits", "damns", "faggots" & a couple of other name calling or racial slurs.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some men drink booze in a bar, and are shown completely drunk.
  • Some smoking.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The films depiction of leprosy can be considered gross and horrifying.
  • The movie can be quite dark and sad at times.
