One of my favorite episodes but...

So I totally disagree with the other reviewer. This is one of my favorite episodes and I think they did a great job with the two timelines running side by side.

The scene in the Swedish bar is so great! I still laugh even though I've seen it so many times! I love Mrs. Pastrnak, great character, and lassies reaction to the dog along with Gus's also makes for some great scenes.

Couple things that could've been done better is anyone seen they show you in pictures of the other murdered boyfriends and she identifies them as Corey and Eric. Then in a later seen your pictures are on the board in the police station and they're labeled opposite.

The biggest problem I have with this episode is the way that Juliet finds out about Shawn - Finding the tickets in the jacket pocket, to me that really wasn't very believable. There are tons of other things that happened in prior episodes that she could've questioned. I just think they could have been more creative and developed that reveal a lot better.

I also don't like Jeff Tambor as her step father - he's so creepy and seems too old.

This has the earmarks of a great Psych episode but

Warning: Spoilers
Just comes up short. I like the idea of the sliding doors type look of...different "timelines" (this is NO Community's Remedial Chaos Theory).

But this one doesn't have the hijinks of classic Psych episodes...or at least enough. It has the bare minimum. (You do want to express yourself, right?

That's all we ask) My default rating is 7...and I just didn't feel like this one was deserving of that. I would probably skip this on a rewatch of the series. It just isn't anything to get too excited about.

And Juliet is extremely annoying this episode. Sorry...not Juliet. The actress playing Juliet.

Love seeing Jeffrey Tambor pop in for a few episodes.

Seriously?

Their whole relationship is based on him being psychic? They're really reaching for this one. I love the show, but this was really pathetic attempt at drama. For her to say their whole relationship is based on him being psychic minimizes the time they spent together, the emotions they have for each other. It's just stupid. For her to be that sure and disturbed about this "revelation" also shows that she's not that bright and hadn't figured it out. Maybe she's just angry at herself that she had been schnookered, I dunno.

I think it would have been a LOT more realistic if she just responded, "Well, duhhhh" or something like that, and life would just go on as normal.

For her to focus on this means she's ignored the fact that he was honest when it came down to it. Does that matter? Nooooooo.
