The studio plans to shoot “Run” in the fall. The story centers on a homeschooled teenager who begins to suspect her mother is keeping a dark secret from her.
“Run” is the next project from the duo behind the missing-persons thriller “Searching,” which stars John Cho and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January in the Next section. Chaganty is directing “Run” and Ohanian is producing with Natalie Qasabian, who also produced “Searching.”
The contained thriller will be released under the Lionsgate label. CAA Media Finance and attorney Arine Harapeti brokered the deal on behalf of Chaganty and Ohanian. The duo are also represented by Harapeti, as is Qasabian.

After seven seasons and more than 120 episodes, Shonda Rhimes’ fixer-drama “Scandal” is signing off ABC for good April 19. The series broke new ground when it first premiered in April 2012 for its sharp-tongued characters, willingness to take on tough political topics, inclusive casting — and ushering in a new era of appointment (and interactive) television by live-Tweeting.
“I hope that people remember being a little more alive because of our show,” says Kerry Washington, who spearheaded the plan to get the rest of the cast on the social media platform. “We take you on a ride of intensity and fear and romance and sorrow and elation. You’re more connected, and that, I feel, is important.”
The series premiere of “Scandal” debuted to the tune of 7.33 million live+same day viewers and averaged 8.21 million viewers in its first, seven-episode, season. The ratings grew steadily over the course of the first few years,...

Barry Allen is about to lose his speed in an upcoming episode of The Flash… and transfer it to his wife Iris instead! In episode 16, “Run, Iris, Run,” Candice Patton’s character will find out what it’s like to be a superhero for a day when a power-swapping metahuman gives her Barry’s abilities.
The CW previously dropped a poster for the episode which gave us our first look at Iris’ purple and white costume (and if you prefer to see it in the classic red and gold, someone’s mocked that up, too), and these new promo photos (below) give us a better look at Super-Iris as she takes to the streets of Central City to save the day.
Honestly, it’s a bit surprising in many ways that it’s taken this long for The Flash to get around to this particular storyline. Iris West has gained...

For those of you who are still enjoying The Flash, The CW has released a promo poster giving us our first look at Candice Patton as Iris West wearing her superhero costume. She will wear this suit in the upcoming episode "Run, Iris, Run", the story of which centers on Iris, who gets Barry Allen's powers.
As you can see, the suit has a purple-and-white color scheme, which is reminiscent of the costumes worn by the Tornado Twins, Barry and Iris's children who fight crime in the future. I think she looks pretty slick. Here are the story details that were released for the episode:
