Not much new stuff

Warning: Spoilers
I've watched the original movie, and recently found this supposedly extended cut on my free Prime Video subscription included with my mobile data package. Went to check what's the difference and found that it boasts up to 40 minutes of added footage. The longer duration was supposed to add more fright for the viewers, but I didn't get any. The added footage was just bits and pieces put scrambled here and there, adding luttle to the whole story and having little to no significance to improve the movie. For me, the biggest let down is the fact that the boasted 40 minutes of extra runtime actually consists of some 15 minutes footage extended teaser of another movie from the same story author and production company. All in all, I am just glad I didn't spend any money to watch this without getting sufficient value addition compared to the original movie.

Just Skip The Extended Version

Seriously ???!!! 😒

Add other movie title scene (different movie) at the end and claimed as extended version.

Mostly I can't recognized what part was claimed as added detail. Some part I aware was the new, but only to drag the pace and not add any detail to the story. Even thought without the additional part, the story still can be acceptable. If you want to watch this movie, I recommend to watch the original or uncut version. This version of extended should not happen again in Indonesian movies business. I thing unfair for people to pay more to coming to cinema to watch the same movie twice.

This was a massive waste of time...

Stumbling upon this 2022 Indonesian horror movie by random chance here in 2023, needless to say that with my fascination and love of the horror cinema and Asian cinema, then of course I had to watch it. Sure, I had never heard about "KKN Di Desa Penari: Luwih Dowo, Luwih Medeni" prior to stumbling upon it, so I didn't know what I was in for here.

However, I have to say that the nearly three hour run-time of the movie was sort of a detergent, because it seemed a bit too much. Yet, I opted to give the movie the benefit of the doubt and still sat down to watch it.

And I made it 62 minutes into the ordeal, then I just couldn't take any more of the virtual punishment that is "KKN Di Desa Penari: Luwih Dowo, Luwih Medeni". Wow, talk about a slow paced and pointless narrative. There was nothing, and I kid you not, of any interest happening throughout the 62 minutes of torment that I sat through. And I don't even remember the names of the characters, because they were bland, one-dimensional caricatures that I just didn't care one bit about. And the insanely slow paced narrative without proper contents just didn't help to win me over.

I don't know what writers Lele Laila, Gerald Mamahit and SimpleMan were thinking here. And 175 minutes of what I assume is sheer nothingness and boredom, well, that just doesn't work for me. I endured a staggering and all-together boring 62 minutes, and have zero interest or intentions of returning to finish watching the movie.

Given my limited exposure to the Indonesian cinema, I have to admit that I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. Not that I was impressed, because the performers virtually had nothing to work with here. I am sure that they were good actors and actresses, but they stood no chance with the laughable script handed to them.

Visually, then I saw nothing impressive in the 62 minutes of torment I sat through.

My rating of director Awi Suryadi's 2022 horror movie "KKN Di Desa Penari: Luwih Dowo, Luwih Medeni" lands on a one out of ten stars. This was boredom in its purest form.

EVERYTHING BAD
adi-2414621 March 2024
As someone watching it for the first time, and it's not bound by the euphoria of the film's premiere in spring 2022.

OUTSIDE!!!!!!!!! HOPE

Characters without development, poor acting quality, voice that does not match the rhythm of the film. And most importantly there is a very boring tempo of the movie... Almost a few hours without significant suspense, fewer touches were made to the plot and story on this film

How did this cinema become the film with the most screenings in the original country???

Seriously, believe me, people who watch it for the first time will definitely say this is really bad. Some of my colleagues have watched it and they said "bad square bad beam"

If You Love About KKN Stories, You Must Watch It
caturdewata2 January 2023
In this movies, KKN's stories more closer with story that we read in the novels. You will see a lot of new scenes which will give you new experience. For someone that really love with KKN Stories, this movie really recomended to watch. In the post credits scene, they also give you bonus trailer about their new movie and honestly at first I thought it was still same story but apparently I was wrong lol.

Overall, I have watched the first KKN movie for 4 times, read KKN novel 2 times, and watched this movie today (this movie also becomes my first movie that i watched in 2023) and i still really loved it.

And for the last, love you kak Tissa Biani.

Bali.
