Speaking of the performances, there were many inclusions of intercourse during these songs. They packed them into words that sounded relatively harmless, almost poetic even at times, but at the end, if you take a closer look and are not completely brainwashed, it was really just an accumulation of obscenities. More lack of class from this show here. Of course, the tunes and melodies were also not catchy. It was not just the lyrics that sucked. It already started as low as it could have with what was almost a musical stage play performance there that once again told us how men are so evil and unfaithful all the time. What is it with all this hatred? So cringeworthy to watch. In a way, it reminded me of what R. Kelly did years ago with one very long song of his. I assume with him they do not want to be associated either anymore. BET and the Black community I mean. I will always like his music. Is there anything positive I can say about the show? It almost feels impossible sadly. Even the Lifetime Achievement Award winners, a female group, did nothing for me. What I heard here from them left me unimpressed and not my loss at all that I never even heard of them, even if I listened to a great deal of music from the 1980s and 1990s and there's also Black artists from these eras that I like quite a bit. It was also cringeworthy to see how people were praising these ladies and their musical impact before they were coming on the stage. Towards the end, we get an indirect Prince tribute as well when Morris Day is honored, who has worked with Prince in the past and has also been a successful artist for decades. I would say the praise there also felt a bit on the exaggerated side, but he was not totally bad like almost everything else from this show. Also, no they should not act as if "Purple Rain" is a classic from film history. What is going on in their minds?

I see that Beyoncé and Mary J. Blige scored the most nominations before this show and also won some categories, but this is odd too. Like Blige won a "Soul Train Certified Award". What does that even mean? An award that is named after the show it is from? What? This would be like the Oscars giving an "Academy Award Oscar" to somebody. The madness does not stop with this event. The worst is probably that it will go on for years in the future with the same abysmal quality. Maybe we should not blame the ones who write and direct awards shows like this one here, but blame the ones who watch them or I should say who watch them and praise them and do not see through all the charade and propaganda. I wish them well. They need it. So yeah, what else can I say about this event we have here? Good thing is the next edition is almost a year away now I guess. I think it is all fairly self-explanatory that there was not a single competitive award being given out in the last 20 minutes. Or 25 minutes even. Which is one third of the show. This is only in theory an awards show. Not factually and don't let all the people in the audience trick you into thinking this is an event worth watching when they are going with the flow and when they are dancing to all the woeful music on stage as if they were witnessing something really great and creative. Listening to something really great and creative. The opposite is the case. I don't give out ones out of ten, just ones out of five, but if I did, then there would be not the slightest bit of hesitation here for me to do so. This even deserves a zero to some extent you could say because zero is the number that defines the event: Zero creativity, zero musical impact, zero authenticity, zero recognition value to be found here. All traded in for political correctness and getting out the right political messages. Disgusting.
