The start of a new month is always exciting as a Netflix subscriber, as you can be assured that tons of great content is about to flow in for you to watch. Sadly, however, it also comes with the downside of losing movies and shows that were added in the past and have since had their streaming licenses expire with the service. It’s an unfortunate event that none of us look forward to, of course, but we’ve compiled the full list of everything leaving Netflix in December below so that you can catch up on anything you may want to watch before it’s gone.
The one that’ll hurt the most – beloved show The Office – is finally departing the platform so that it can take up residence on NBC’s new streaming service Peacock this coming January. It’s no secret that the series has been one...

“Game of Thrones” actor Iwan Rheon starred as the villainous Ramsey Bolton from 2013 to 2016, appearing in 20 episodes of the HBO fantasy series and becoming perhaps the most reviled character in “Thrones” history. Ramsey’s rape of Sansa Stark on their wedding night in the fifth season episode “Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken” resulted in outrage over the series’ depiction of sexual assault and violence against female characters. In a new interview with Metro (via Insider), Rheon says filming the controversial rape scene was a rock bottom moment for his career.
“That was horrible. Nobody wanted to be there. Nobody wants to do that, but if it’s telling a story then you have to tell it truthfully,” Rheon said. “They didn’t sensationalize it or anything. It was very, very hard watching. It’s a horrible thing that happens, unfortunately… It was the worst day of my career.”

Jenna Dewan has been tapped as host of Fox’s new dating series Flirty Dancing, the U.S. adaptation of the hit British reality show, set for premiere this winter.

The executive producer of anthology film “Berlin, I Love You” is engaged in a war of words with Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei, whose contribution to the movie was left on the cutting-room floor.
Ai contends that the segment he shot for “Berlin, I Love You” was axed by the producers for political reasons, out of fear of upsetting Chinese officials. But Emmanuel Benbihy, the film’s Shanghai-based executive producer, says that Ai’s segment did not meet the requirements for inclusion and that the award-winning artist is obsessed with criticizing China.
“Berlin, I Love You,” whose short takes feature such stars as Helen Mirren and Keira Knightley, was submitted to the Berlin Film Festival but failed to land a slot, even out of competition or in one of the fest’s sidebars. Instead, it began its commercial career with a Feb. 8 theatrical release, handled by Saban Films, in the U.

If you truly love Berlin, and belong to the film industry, chances are you’re there right now attending the Berlinale, where roughly 400 movies unspool over 11 days. The Berlin Film Festival takes place annually in early February, one of the least pleasant times of year to experience a city where, in the half dozen instances I’ve been, someone always apologizes for the weather — with its rain, sleet, and iced-over streets — and helpfully suggests, “You really should come back in summer.”
And so, this year, I have no regrets sitting out the festival, choosing instead to visit the city vicariously via “Berlin, I Love You,” the latest in the “Cities of Love” series that gave us “Paris, je t’aime” and similar stopovers in New York and Rio. The juxtaposition of moments in time, such as one person experiencing immense joy and another hitting rock bottom, or someone dying while someone else is being born, has always been an intriguing concept in film. But there’s a certain finesse that goes into making each separate vignette engaging — and in some cases, even urgent — so that these slivers of tales resonate with the audience. Unfortunately, “Berlin, I Love You” lacks that essential finesse.
This fourth installment of the “Cities of Love” franchise centers on Berlin and, like the other segments, tells ten not-so-interwoven stories that illuminate various themes including love and loss. There’s the woman (Keira Knightley) who takes in an abandoned Arabic child, much to the chagrin of her disapproving mother (Helen Mirren). There’s also the Hollywood actor (Luke Wilson) grappling with his stagnant career and looking for something, or someone, who can exhilarate him once again.

The 50th anniversary of the Sharon Tate murders happens next year, and there is more interest in the heinous crime than ever before. Most attention has been placed on Quentin Tarantino's upcoming epic Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which will use the Tate murder as a wraparound for its 60s set story. But there is another Sharon Tate movie coming, and today we have a first look at this true crime psychological thriller.
The Haunting of Sharon Tate stars former Disney princess Hilary Duff in the title role. And she has already been lambasted by Sharon Tate's sister over the movie. It's Margot Robbie playing Sharon Tate in Tarantino's film, which has garnered less vitriol from the Tate family. A first look photo shows what Duff has in store while embedding the character.

German actress Sibel Kekilli is best-known to American audiences for her role as Shae, the prostitute-turned-mistress of Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” An outspoken feminist of Turkish descent, Kekiilli spoke to Variety at Italy’s Lucca Comics about the culture clash she’s been contending with since the start of her career, and why she likes to play women who, like Shae, are survivors.

There were bigger yachts docked in the harbor at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, but production company Saban Films is returning to Hollywood with more movie acquisitions than any other bidder at this year’s international film market.
The division, part of billionaire Haim Saban’s media empire, racked up five total by the end of the festival: the Gerard Butler psychological thriller “Keepers,” Keanu Reeves’ romantic thriller “Siberia,” “Berlin, I Love You” with Kiera Knightley and Helen Mirren, Nicolas Cage’s “Between Worlds” and the historical action film “Viking Destiny.”
The spending spree comes weeks after its parent company sold the Power Rangers and other longtime Saban brands to toy giant Hasbro in a cash-stock deal worth $522 million.
TheWrap caught up with Saban Films President Bill Bromiley to discuss the gems they found in the South of France, their theatrical distribution ambitions and the increasing importance of finding films in their infancy.

Predictions of the Marche du Film’s death were greatly exaggerated. While indie film prices have come back to earth after big-spending streaming giants rattled the ecosystem a few years back, industry players told TheWrap, the market at Cannes was buzzing this year from start to finish.
“A lot of times, people associate activity with the big players spending a lot of money and buying movies for big price tags,” Saban Films President Bill Bromiley told TheWrap from France on Friday.
“That can be a little misleading,” said the executive, whose company brought home five films — more than any other distributor to visit the festival this year.

Nicole Kidman’s gritty Los Angeles crime thriller “Destroyer” has sold U.S. distribution rights to Annapurna Pictures, who won the Karyn Kusama film in a bidding war in Cannes.
Annapurna took the project for a mid-seven-figure price tag, an individual familiar with the sale told TheWrap.
The company beat out streaming player Amazon and other studios in the competitive situation which lasted through the night into Monday, the insider said.

Kusama is directing from a script by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi, who all last collaborated on the unsettling 2015 indie gem “The Invitation.”
“Destroyer” has received early attention thanks to Kidman’s extreme transformation for the role, revealed by paparazzi shots from the set.
Kidman plays a police detective who “reconnects with people from an undercover assignment in her distant past in order to make peace,” an official synopsis said. The group is a cult-like gang in which Kidman’s character spent years embedded.
Sebastian Stan, Tatiana Maslany, Toby Kebbel and Bradley Whitford costar. CAA and ICM co-repped the sale. The production was financed by 30 West.
Kidman is on a serious hot streak, having appeared in in numerous high-profile films last year (“The Killing of a Sacred Deer” and “The Beguiled” among others) and winning an Emmy for HBO’s “Big Little Lies,” for which she also serves as producer.
The news was first reported by Deadline.
