Secuoya’s scale and pace: Diana Lodderhose kicking things off here and I had the pleasure of going to Madrid before the holidays to take a look at the impressive Secuoya Content Group’s headquarters, which hosts Netflix’s European Production Hub, located just 17 miles north of Madrid. After a lengthy chat with its owners and founders Raul Berdonés and Pablo Jimeno as well as James Costos, president of its TV and film fiction arm Secuoya Studios, what became quickly apparent is the scale and pace at which this company is moving. “We’re not your traditional production company,” Berdonés said.

The girlfriend of singer Darius Campbell Danesh has revealed more sad details about the sudden death of the British singer in August 2022.
Lauren Cheek told the UK’s Sun newspaper that her late partner was suffering from a heart condition that was unknown until his autopsy was conducted.
She told the paper: “So many things could have taken him, but this [heart condition] did, and he died in his sleep.
“His mum told me they only found out [about the undiagnosed condition] after they did the autopsy. His heart was twice the size it was supposed to be, which was fitting, because that is genuinely how he was — he had so much love.”
In addition, Campbell Danesh was suffering from a longterm broken neck following a car accident that had left him in agonising pain. In 2010, Campbell Danesh was a passenger in a Porsche when it hit a wall at 70 mph after skidding on oil during a holiday in Spain.

In a difficult-to-believe coincidence, Wendy Rush, wife of the OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, who also piloted the still-missing submersible that was exploring the Titanic wreckage, is a descendent of two of the most famous victims from the passenger liner sinking in 1912.
That would be Isidor and Ida Straus, who were portrayed in James Cameron’s 1997 film “Titanic” as embracing in bed as the Titanic sinks.
Isidor Straus was a co-owner of Macy’s department store, making him and his wife two of the wealthiest people aboard the Titanic during its voyage. Survivors say Isidor refused to take a lifeboat seat he was offered before all women and children were helped off the ship, and Ida refused to leave without her husband of 40 years. Unlike the film, the two were seen standing on the ship’s deck as it went down rather than in their room, but they were still locked arm-in-arm.

Mike Reiss, a writer for “The Simpsons,” had “constant trepidation” when he took a dive on OceanGate’s now-missing Titan sub 11 months ago.
“I kissed my wife goodbye, thinking that was the last time I might ever see her,” he told CNN’s Jake Tapper on Tuesday as the rescue efforts continued for the five people aboard the Titan. Like every other passenger, he signed a waiver that this voyage in an uncertified vessel could end in death.
However, he found the sub’s simple design “reassuring” and admitted to falling asleep during the two-and-a-half-hour dive, even though he was “constantly knowing this could be the end.”
Watch the video above. Tapper’s interview begins 3:15 into the clip.
