World premieres of Michael Almereyda’s Escapes and Moby Longinotto’s The Joneses will screen at the 59th edition of the festival, set to run from April 21-May 5.
Organisers at the San Francisco Film Society (Sffs) announced on Tuesday the full programme and announced that from April 20, members will be able to stream select films and Filmmakers360-supported projects on the Sffs website and app via the Online Screening Room.

Celebrating its 40th year, the Seattle International Film Festival wrapped up this past weekend with a ceremony announcing the winners of its 2014 Golden Space Needle and Competition Awards. The winners were chosen from among 452 films representing 83 countries, including 44 world premieres. Richard Linklater’s acclaimed family portrait won the Golden Space Needle Award for best film and best director honours as the 40th Seattle International Film Festival came to a conclusion on Sunday (June 8).
The corresponding documentary honour went to Keep On Keepin’ On by Alan Hicks, while Dawid Ogrodnik was named best actor for Life Feels Good and Patricia Arquette best actress for Boyhood.
Best short film went to Cody Blue Snider’s Fool’s Day and the Lena Sharpe Award For Persistence Of Vision prize went to Bound: Africans Versus African Americans by Peres Owino.
In the competition awards, Carlos Marques-Marcet earned the Siff 2014 Best New Director Grand Jury Prize for 10,000Km, while the documentary prize went to Marmato, directed by Mark Grieco.
