Sex & Nudity

  • A man is forced to strip in front of three mobsters to prove he doesn't have any guns or trackers. He takes off everything except his underwear but is then forced by (a man) to take that off too. He then covers his private area with his hand and is then forced by the same man to also show that to him. This is only shown from the waist up after he removes his underwear, genitals are never shown.
  • Part of the story takes place at a pornography studio. A woman is seen topless from a distance at a porn studio, wearing a black sexual phallus around her waist. She then returns behind the screen where we briefly see a silhouette of her presumably penetrating a man (no sounds heard). Televisions have (probable) close-up porn being displayed on them.
  • Women in cleavage-revealing outfits are briefly seen dancing at a nightclub.

Violence & Gore

  • The Raid 2 is bloodier, gorier, and even more violent than the first film.
  • In the beginning, a character is executed by getting shot in the side of the head with a shotgun. (very graphic. Lots of blood, brain matter and some skull shown. But, immediately after the gun is fired, it cuts to a title card.)
  • There are lots of extended and drawn out fight scenes with knives, guns and other weapons. These are all very graphic. One character uses claw hammers against their enemies, resulting in some extremely gory and brutal moments. There is a lot of gore during and after the fights.
  • The violence is tastefully done, and not exploitative. While gory at times (only lasting instances: someone is executed with a shotgun from a distance, throats are slit, someone's face is burned, someone's head is smashed with a baseball bat), it serves as a secondary to the action/story. Very, very bloody however.
  • Level of violence:10/10.
  • The violence and fight scenes (especially the deleted gang shootout) are even more brutal and graphic this time around.
  • Very graphic violence throughout, everything is in your face
  • Several people get shot with bloody results, most of them in the chest and heads.
  • A prison riot that involves swift beatings and occasional stabbings. There is a brief shot of a man splitting another man's jaw in half. Another man uses a room handle to brutally dispatch several men. Two men trying to escape are shot in the back by a guard. Overall, very violent scene.
  • Five men are executed by throat slitting. There are no close-up shots and some of them are off-screen, but the whole sequence lasts a while.
  • A man uses a baseball bat to bloodlessly take out several henchmen. He then hits a baseball to dispatch two others. Seen mostly from a distance with brief bloody wounds.
  • A long and rather bloody fight between a man and several others in a nightclub that moves outside.
  • A woman uses a hammer to take out a number of henchmen. Bloody wounds and splatter seen.
  • A man's face is pressed down on a grill for several seconds. The graphic aftermath is shown with his deformed, scarred face, as he lies in shock.
  • A car chase sequence. Involves a lot of shooting and a fight scene within the car itself. A man gets shot several times and we briefly see his corpse being run over.
  • A villain gets shot with a shotgun several times, with the last one blowing his head apart as he lays on his back on the floor. (VERY GRISLEY and graphically seen from a distance).

Profanity

  • 55 uses of "fuck", 7 uses of "shit", 4 uses of "asshole", 2 uses of "skank", 2 uses of "prick", 1 use of "whore", and 1 use of "hooker".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Many scenes involving wine and alcohol, but not too much.
  • A few characters smoke, but same as above, not too much.
  • There is a brief mention of drugs (referred to as 'powder').

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Intense and brutal fights. The burned-face part, though brief, could trouble those averse to gore.
  • The Blood And Gore Is Literally Nonstop

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Prakaso killed his attackers in a gory manner. The strongest scene is he was stabbing one of them on his throat several times with a broken bottle. Very graphic. Then he was slit by an assassin after killing his attackers.
  • Some henchmen/villains are graphically beaten, stabbed, and sliced near the end. A woman is punctured by two hammers and a man's face is caved in with a bat, both ironically. A fight scene ensues between the main character and an assassin, with non-stop punches, kicks and throws until the assassin uses two blades to fight but later gets his throat ripped by the main character after several slices and stabs to each other.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The scene in the karaoke bar, wherein a man loudly berates a woman while shoving a microphone between her legs, can be uncomfortable to watch.
