A fitting end to a fabulous first season!

I can't think of many TV shows that had quite as perfect a season 1 as 'Revenge' did. It was faultless at times.

Sadly though it never quite lived up to season 1 in terms of quality, and this episode, or to be frank, its final cliff-hanger unfortunately sets the tone for things to come.

There are some great moments to enjoy here though, not least the brilliant chemistry between Emily and Nolan, which carried this first year.

There's some sadness too as well, and 'Revenge' at this stage was a show that could really find a balance of the two well.

Don't get me wrong, there are plus points for season 2-4, but this was 'Revenge' at its best.

too much, way too much

I've just seen the season finale, and is there anybody else feeling like you've bitten off too much, you chew and chew, but you just can't swallow the damn thing. Such a lot of stuff happens that you can but watch in a daze. I would say this really is absolutely way too much, the scriptwriters took possible scenarios and couldn't decide which to use so just said Let's Go For It, and used it all. And this drama is to be drawn out for 67 more episodes? Howwwww? Isn't the game up already?

Of course, everybody else likes it, and is in awe of it. I like it too, not necessarily all, but I do like it. I just have difficulty not associating the fun of it with a lot of flaws in the plot development. So pardon me for being a detractor.

Victoria Grayson is of course not dead. That I know. No sane writer would drop Madeleine Stowe from the cast. As for Mrs. Clarke, I actually did see the Mother-is-still-out-there thing developing all the time, but then it got side-tracked and I never posted my prediction. But come on, all this, this slew of improbable junk...

Hey, MELROSE PLACE was sane compared to this lot.

And they called that one classy trash...
