As with previous titles, this game involves Pikmin getting killed by many hazards and getting eaten or stomped by many enemies.

Enemies also get killed when Pikmin defeat them. Their spirits fly out of their bodies indicating they died after the Pikmin defeat them. Their dead bodies are left for Pikmin to take back to their onions to reproduce more Pikmin.

Pikmin dying in many ways may upset younger gamers.

As with previous installments, various enemy monsters that attack and kill Pikmin can also get killed themselves if defeated, and their spirits fly out of their bodies indicating they have died. Though there is no blood or gore, the way they die may upset younger gamers.
