Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • A dismembered arm shown within 5 minutes of start of movie. Some animal carcasses throughout, but little amount of blood shown. Same with character injuries, very mild gore. Guns are used for defense toward the end.
  • Blood splatters onto a windshield after a character is attacked inside of a car
  • Corpses are shown sitting in trees a few times. They aren't overly graphic, just slumped over in tattered clothes
  • Mild cuts/bruises seen on survivors attacked by the monster

Profanity

  • No strong language.
  • Only one very brief use of mild profanity.A character uses the word damn once in a tense situation.
  • ALLEGED NAME CALLING: A teacher has a conference with a student's parents and informs them that the student allegedly called another student a "pecker". The teacher does not say the word but writes it down for the parents. One parents repeats the word out loud.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some characters appear to consume alcohol in a bar.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Several scenes of characters being stalked, and again, animal carcasses shown during some of these scenes. The film is fairly tense throughout as the monster lurks in the shadows. Most attacks are of the offscreen scream variety. There aren't many jump scares or surprises and the monster itself is only seen a few times.
