Terribly.... Funny!!!
james-319781 November 2022
I gave it a 5 because after watching this I now believe that "idiots" truly exist!! And they are alive and well in 3 locations on this show. Ed and Lorraine Warren are now in spirit but if they could return, I'm sure they would be hopping mad about this tub of absolute poo that's been published using their names. I would advise anyone with a sense of humour to watch this because it's so laughable, not one of them has any form of ability and that includes the ability to act, but watch it through because it really is a comedy, though its unintentional, its like Rosanne Barr meets Ghost Busters!!

So fake, forced drama, clearly scripted...
shailosweetkittycat21 October 2022
Although the back stories seem eerie and haunting, the acting from these "mediums" aka hired actors is so clearly forved and scripted.

So obvious they deliberately force the cast into "squabbles" simply for entertainment value and ratings.

It is shows like this that take away from and set the bar lower for the real and professional paranormal investigation teams put there.

Very predictable story writing, very little to no proof in findings at all, just a "OMG I saw a shadow!" ...That is about it, any of the "EVP's" are also very unbelievable... "OMG the cupboards are suddenly opened!" ... As if the camera crew could not have opened them, ridiculous.

They pretend to found out what is more than well known!!!
bigm-music29 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The mistery of the homicide of the two girls and possibly more victims ist long and well known in the world of paranormal investigations and has been discovered by chris moon and his team some time ago!!! The names of the girls are well known too! The buried pentagramm from the 17 century was buried just 30 centimeters under ground and is still there centuries later after a house was builded there what is not believable! And the captains wives name is well known too and no spirit from that time period would write c u for see you in the mirror. More likely that a guest of the bad and breakfast just made it as a joke! Sorry but i dont believe what happened in this show! I believe this places are haunted but not like what we have seen here!

What an absolute load
kessiebear-2493621 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Honestly, this was one of the worst supernatural shows I've seen..

I'd love to believe that spirits exist and that some people legitimately have the gift of connecting with them, but shows like this make it so hard.

Not only was half the information coming from all 3 teams basically the same, I'd predicted by the second episode that the father had impregnated his own daughter at the Dry Goods location, and somehow it took a "psychic" over 2 weeks to even suspect it - and I'd never heard of any of these stories until this show.

Add to that, whoever the woman was Brandy spoke to who appeared to be familiar with the family's story, also didn't seem to know as much as she claimed given she stated everyone in the family portrait was killed, yet a quick Google search tells you that one of the children wasn't there at the time and was the one who came home later to find all the bodies including their fathers'.

I usually really enjoy these types of shows, but I legitimately had to force myself to finish these, and was actually starting to feel really irritated in the last episode due to how fake everything seemed.

Even the supposed experts who were 'hosting' the series - one being the Warrens' son in law - made huge claims that were in no way "proven" by any of the footage taken.. and so many contradictory statements and holes in their story.. all it did was further suggest the Warrens and their family were the very scam artists that's been shown in various ways.

My favourite one was suggesting that Ed and Lorraine didn't have time to prove their 28 day theory, even though Ed lived to 79 and Lorraine to 92.. but yeah.. not enough time LOL

Absolute waste of 2 1/2 hours watching this.

OMG!!! The cringiest show ever!
kikotheoneandonly21 October 2022
They immediately try to capture your attention with the names of Ed and Lorraine Warren, but as soon as the teams arrive at the locations where the drama (a.k.a. Comedy) unfolds and start to open their mouths, you soon realize this is going to be a show that will make "Long Island Medium" look as good as "Breaking Bad".

Every single member of the several teams looks and sounds as credible as a snake oil salesman, and all of them seem like they were picked up at a truck stop in Branson, Missouri.

It's so bad that the background music, instead of accentuating the non existent suspense, somehow makes everything even more comical.

I'm not giving it a one star rating only because it can be watched as a sort of "Blair Witch bloopers" kind of thing, and some might find that entertaining. Not me, though...

Confirmation Bias.... The TV Show...
pfne19 February 2023
Heres a similar, but better idea for a TV Show..

Take 3 teams of 3.

Each team is made up of strangers that don't know each other. Each of the 3 has a skeptic, a psychic and a tech guy.

3 buildings to 'investigate' 1 of the 3 has no history of paranormal stuff, no murders, no deaths etc.

1 has a history and is famous among paranormal investigators.

1 has a history but isn't well known and hasn't ever been investigated.

Each team is told the exact same thing. They're being sent I to a place that have had sightings and a history of violence and murder. Etc.

Then send them in for 28 days.

See what they find..

As this programme stands, it's dreadful.

Damn I had high hopes, that were dashed..
davebeck-5138321 October 2022
I thought this premise would be good. 28 days in a haunted house. But no. Basically it's just focuses on so called 'psychic mediums' and 'sensitives'. People sat around talking about energy and 'what they feel', like 99 percent of the show is someone saying 'what they feel as a psychic'. Hardly 'paranormal research'. Makes ghost adventures look positively serious. Same old format, using 'technology' someone has decided works without any basis of facts. Someone has decided ghosts can 'manipulate radio waves' and now everyone uses it. Its ridiculous. 'the radio channels are skipping so quickly if you hear voices it HAS to be a ghost', forgetting that some radio stations are picked up easily on either side of their designated broadcast channel. Psuedo science at best, ridiculousness at worst.

Lost me when the guy said he was a firefighter and demonologist
michaelmcbride-2784822 October 2022
Saying you are a demonologist and someone that actually went to college and studied historical or religious texts.... These people watched some ghostbusters and ghost hunters and said I can do that.

Man I miss Ghost Hunters :-). At least they acted like they put effort into research and made you wait at least 10 minutes before they heard a noise without nearly pissing their pants.

My hopes were average but quickly dashed. I do have to admit this is unintentionally funny. I kept waiting for Mystery Science Theater 3000 to make their comedic observations and sad when that didn't happen either.

The only thing dead in this show are some careers.

Cheesey and fake to the highest degree.
staypuff-589-88393721 October 2022
I think the quickest turn off of this show, that really shows they didnt think some things out, is the fact that repeatedly these "professional" hunters are scared by creaking and banging. The air is always heavy and cold and scary, but if it was your job that youve done hundreds of times, wouldnt you be over that? Yes i know its all entertainment but thats just what i couldnt get over. I remember shows like this 15 years ago were alot more scary and "real". Now everything is just turned up to 11 because of all the horror movies theyre trying to replicate. Bad show. If you like cheese in the worst way, this show is for you.

Ain't no way
rashelismyname26 October 2022
Y'all, I'm all for spoopy encounters & ghostly matters, but this show was one of the silliest things I've ever seen. Did y'all really think we wouldn't notice CGI footage when you added shadows everywhere? ....it's 2022. And the fact that everyone was unbothered when the cabinets & door "opened by themselves", but are all for the dramatics when they "feel" the energy in the rooms. SMH. Oh & of course it only happens at night... Why would an actual haunted place have to wait for the sun to go down? Bunch of goofy ahh people fulfilling their childhood trauma of not being seen or heard so they gotta make up for it on camera.

Bring out the tropes!
iwatkin25 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'm sitting with someone right now. They've been glued to this for a good portion of the day and evening. Personally, I'm 100% skeptical about the subject matter, but this show is borderline comedy. It's hilarious at times. Laughable at others. When they revealed the "God Helmet" I had to leave the room so I could laugh in private. I don't honestly believe that anyone on this show really believes this stuff. They're jumping at shadows and random noises. Each episode is all setup and no serious payoff. When these shows are done well they can be mildly entertaining. This almost feels like a parody of a bad A&E show. There have been moments when I've felt sure the actors (because that's what they're trying to be) were about to break character and start giggling. If anything, I admire their fortitude to keep up the silliness without cracking a smile.

My friend is transfixed. Maybe it's the loud, ominous music that is ever present. I imagine the music is intended to ramp up the suspense. It's a shame that there really is no suspense. I could gather five people in a house and have them randomly yell out, "Who made that noise?" And, "Did you see that? What was it?" I reckon I could replicate this show for a few thousand dollars. I just need some fishing line and bad lighting and a handful f unbelievable "scared" people. Come to think of it, why are these "professional investigators" even scared? Isn't this what they do for a living? Oh, right. Of course they don't.

horrible show
ghost_watcher21 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I was excited to see a new ghost hunting show on Netfilix but this whole show, including the cast is boring and nothing but a waste of time. This show is unwatchable, and there is nothing rewarding or entertaining about this show. There is no evidence, the cast is boring and over reacts to ever sound.

Since I could not get past the first episode I will not waste my time watching anymore. The story is also all over the place - not sure what the whole purpose of the dvr system and the hosts. Are they supposed to be finding evidence? Why are the investigators always wearing blind folds how are they supposed to see whats happening around them..

Surprisingly engaging
johntk156621 October 2022
I started watching this expecting to not even be able to get through the first episode, but I ended up watching the entire series. I think the strength here comes from the editor(s), as the series does a good job of building while switching between 3 locations.

Do be warned that there is a massive serving of crap taken from what must be Reality TV 101. There are times when they try way to hard to create drama from absolutely nothing, most likely from having hours of nearly worthless footage and interaction. I found myself bursting out laughing in those moments.

The haunting and ESP aspects were very interesting to watch. This show hasn't moved me from a view of skepticism, but I also find myself hoping that all of the footage, audio and timelines of discovery vs prior known facts are genuine. Cool stuff!

Whether or not you believe in ghosts - don't watch this show!
brucewillisisaghost21 October 2022
You have been warned! How come that in the year of 2022 this kind of scripted reality show finds its way into mainstream media? Netflix, you didn't do yourself a favour.

How would anybody believe this show could be real... I mean I don't say that ghosts and the afterlife don't exist because I can't tell and I find it plausible that there are things in this world that cannot be explained. But seriously, this is poorly scripted and more poorly acted by the cast.

"I am outta here" and "get back" and "I am shaking" are the most common phrases this show makes use of anytime the editor finds this is the time to be scary.

Spoiler, it isn't scary at all. It's not funny either because they really believe in their techniques. Gee, what is this world becoming...

TERRIBLE
MovieLover19257 January 2023
They lost me with the "God helmet" I laughed so hard.... I mean cmon guys....you can't expect people to actually believe this and take the show seriously...what was the deal with jereme giving his "demonic" look at the end of the scene. Lol I cringed so hard...so bad. I really really hope that no one ever things to make a show like this again. We don't want a season two. This has to be the worst paranormal show I've ever seen or witnessed in my life. Everyone involved should be embarrassed and ashamed that they were a part of this terrible terrible show. The concept was great and it had some promise at the end, but terrible acting and bad vibes ruined this whole show.

Embarrassing!
zombienic26 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This actual comedy is so embarrassing. I can't believe the actors did this. I hope they get roasted in real life for being in such an incredibly stupid show. The fat couple that are in the dry goods store are the worst, altho they're all bad. The one guy has heart attack symptoms and has to go to the hospital and then they show him as soon as he gets back from the hospital stuffing his face with fried food and soda! That's why you had the symptoms,, NOT a spirit lol! The skinny guy with the glasses in Preston is crying because one of the partners there hurt his feelings LOL another finds a metal star in the ground and says it's a pentagram. It's not even close to a pentagram it's just a decorative star!

There's no actual evidence shown in this program to prove anything. I can't count the number of times I yelled at the TV for how stupid it is. In real life I believe that there are things we cannot explain but this show shows nothing like that. After the first episode I just let it play in the background while I did chores. My husband watched an episode with me so we could laugh together. On a side note I was just in Preston, Connecticut and was going to stay at the place they are at on here but chose another hotel. Based on the reviews for that hotel regarding cleanliness, I'm glad I did not stay there. Looks like the only thing scary there is the spiders!

The "actors" have been doing this for years and get scared over things that my five-year-old nephew wouldn't be scared of. Skip this one and save your brain cells!

Uuuuuuuuuuurgh!!!!!
Weirdo-Magnet8 December 2022
I am 16 minutes into episode 1. I would never normally rate a show or movie after not watching it fully, but this is absolutely terrible.

A cast member literally just said "If I survive the night".

Cue eye roll.

A light flickers: GHOST A faint noise: GHOST A picture on the wall: GHOST These people need to get a grip.

Just because you see a coffin in a room, doesn't mean it has to be ominous. It's literally a wooden rectangle, calm down with the dramatics.

This series would have been really entertaining if they were regular people experiencing 28 days in a so called haunted house.

The "psychics" and "sensitive" cast members just ruined it for me.

Over the top, exaggerated, forced and CRINGE.

Terrible!
007Waffles28 October 2022
This show is horribly bad. I didn't care for any of the characters or the script or the ghosts. It felt like a pawnshop scary movie. Just a bunch of junk that no one cares about. Just like their rejected Radio Shack equipment.

The terrible actors enter a room and feel a draft. "Oooo, it's an evil presence" they all say. No, you are just in an old building with no insulation. "I have a headache, which means there's a ghost here." No, that's just the asbestos and possible black mold affecting your brain. The scariest part is how much time I wasted watching this show. Nothing ever happens. Don't let the name of the Warrens fool you into watching this. They should come back and haunt the producers for using their name on this garbage.

The actors were terrible. I feel like they were all "discovered" in the same swap meet/chilly cook-off.

Awful
A_J_W21 October 2022
The cast of this show are so incredibly irritating! The fat guy reading the bible is so insanely fake and arrogant he's impossible to watch. He's so rude to the woman, snapping at her and slapping her down!

They've tried to create a reality TV vibe (with cast members falling out and gossiping) which makes it so cringe to watch and just makes it look more fake.

The whole point of the show is that the investigators unearth real information they didn't know before they entered the site...but the viewer has no evidence they don't already know everything. It just comes across as staged. The producers require a lot of trust and faith from the viewer. I'm surprised Netflix green lit this nonsense.

Low grade horror fiction
claudiesaulnier1 November 2022
Look, I usually like this kind of stuff. I watch ghost hunting YouTubers for breakfast and I love it because, even if I am skeptical, I am still open to ghosts being real.

Yet, nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, in this show felt remotely credible. It's kind of insulting they would try to present as « reality TV », even knowing reality TV is 100% produced. Look, I half expect Netflix to apologize or to come out announcing it was a joke. Not even the participants seem to believe in the stunts they pull out themselves.

The only way I managed to finish all episodes is out of boredom and by switching my mindset to the one I adopt watching low-grade horror fiction.

If you like believing in ghosts, do yourself a favor and don't watch that; you'll avoid yourself feeling laughed at and ridiculed. Go subscribe to Sam and Colby's YouTube Channel instead.

Jereme is a joke
uniquelybrooke28 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This dude made me literally laugh constantly, like if there was a demon it'd be laughing and not taking him seriously, like just 😂. That team was a whole joke and totally made me realize this whole show is a joke. I watched all the episodes and just no, why in the world would anyone take this seriously. Maybe find better "professionals" and I'd believe it. Those two just were stupid and she would run from everything that may make it real. Totally wouldn't know what to do in a real situation and the entire thing made me think it was a setup to see how people respond to these types of situations and if that were the truth then totally make it known afterwards and that would've been more entertaining. Oh and the newspaper clipping would not be in such good shape and able to be read after that many years in a humid dark space. Oh and where are all the others, why just one, come on, how stupid do you think your audience is? Give us some respect. Just ugh. I try really hard to respect the warrens and this just shot them more into the dirt.

Unintentional comedy.
pmead8822 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I like in the UK. Things aren't great for us currently then along comes this show to make everyone laugh. Nothing about this is real. I even found myself laughing at how obviously fake it all it is. Just wait until the very last shot after one of them says "at least we know the demon has been banished"

There is nothing out of the ordinary here to any other shows of this nature other than the production value feeling slightly higher (i guess that's Netflix' input). I can't believe Netflix cancel shows like Archive 81 just to fund this instead but hey ho, i still watched it and had a laugh.

Best comedy this year.

Came for the Ghosts stayed for the Drama
mitchelljkenney24 October 2022
The show is very entertaining. I love paranormal show and I love reality show and this show is both combined. I don't believe like 70% of the stuff that happened but all I know is Shane and Ray are both gaslighters and are the worst on the show tbh. Sean is also so dramatic and that mirror thing was 100% him. He was so put off that the ghosts called him out for lying about writing on the mirror. But anyways this show has lots of great drama and the girlies are the best and most believable in this entire show. They seem to really know what they're talking about and are very very very respectful.

Murder She Wrote meets Hillbilly Ghost Busters. (Unfortunately that makes it sound fun, it's not).
pixiekatten25 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It's almost blasphemy connecting this atrocity to Ed and Lorraine Warren. They must be tossing and turning in their graves over the fact that this is what became of their legacy. They suggested it takes 28 days to break through the barrier that separates the spirit world with ours. Now that sounds really fascinating and could've been a great series. But instead we got.... this.

What was Netflix thinking!? Is this a spoof? Surely they didn't put this out thinking we'd buy into this silly mess of scripted and (bad) CGI filled ghost hunting? It's a 'who done it' type of thing: Murder She Wrote meets Hillbilly Ghost Busters, was there ever such thing. And if fails to engage. It fails to scare. It fails to be in any way believable. Viewers are taken for absolute fools by these rather juvenile and ill-mannered teams of so called 'demonologists', 'sensitives' and 'clairvoyants' - who looks like they've all been scooped up at an 'all you can eat BBQ buffet at the local truck stop.

They're so called experts yet they jump every time something goes bump in the dark. Their goofy machinery seems to be based on the science that the more twinkling lights the better. The gadgets pick up random noise and yet somehow the teams conclude complete tales of murder and hidden horrors. Then there's the apparatus that actually blurts out complete sentences conjured by the demon world - but we all know it's really camera man Steve and his cup on a string....

No need for science or proof in this show either. Naw! We are simply expected to take their words for it every single time they "feel something" or claim to speak to the spirits, or something touches them. They lay out whole explanations and conclusions- solving 50 year old murders - all on a hunch ... oh no sorry, through the guidance of the spirits (that only they heard). And not only that, apparently demonic possession is somewhat of a choice, yep, one guy simply snaps out of it after his team mate has a worried one to one with him over morning coffee. Good to know! And hey, what about the guy who quite obviously watched Stranger Things one too many times and figured that Eleven's sensory deprivation tank could also work for him - and then it did! Yay! How about that. Now we can all unlock our abilities to talk to the other side, it really is that simple! Lastly don't get me started on the copper pentagram they dug out of the ground - why would you ever think to get hold of an expert to decider the age of the object when you can simply pick a year out of your kaboose! And then base all future outcomes and conclusions on this very scientific method. Amen!

Yeah as you might have figured by now, this is really bad. However, my biggest question is relating to the two gents "witnessing" the whole charade and apparently calling the shots: Tony Spera from good ol' New England Society For Psychic Research, as well as paranormal expert Aaron Sagers. Did they get a sort of 'best of' ghost hunting mix tape that they watched in a day and their 20 TV screens were just for show as their commentary was actually filmed all in one afternoon - OR - did they really do 28 days of witnessing and commenting, wearing the same clothes day in and day out - OR - is that red sweater and the leather jacket ensemble simply their fav looks for a ghastly, I mean ghostly "documentary" like this ..... now that's the biggest mystery of them all. Well done Netflix! One star.

A 28 days of (resources and oxygen) waste
Official_MNAA22 October 2022
The ''experts'' acted like they were in a scientific expedition. They even mentioned their ''experiment'' is so important that in future ''paranormal researchers'' have to ''cite'' their work.

What now?! Bunch of scammers are now talking about science without any hesitation! Who gave them the right? Just because they got a contract from Netflix doesn't give them the credibility to talk about ''research'' and ''citation''.

Only scary thing in this pile of bull cr*p is the sad attempt of using scary sounds - the whole time, every single episode. If I could give 0.5 as rating- I would rate this show with 0.5. This show deserves it.
