Jo Brand narrates a nostalgic look at Britain's love of the hamburger, from its humble beginnings inside Wimpy, with knife and fork, table service, to the big and fast brands from America, McDonald's and Burger King.
Another fascinating episode, definitely one of the best, you really do see the growth of fast food, as well as the impact on society, fast food is getting bigger, and so are people. There was a comment made about fast food not being 21 meals a week, excuse me, but for some people that's exactly what is happening.
A young Keir Starmer, who'd have known, what a handsome chap, and brave enough to help take on McDonald's.
So much here, mad cow disease, activists, MPs, a semi naked poster of Piers Morgan, this episode is the gift that keeps on giving.
Was that Susan Cookson in the McDonald's ad? I used to love that advert.
I urge you to watch this installment without feeling hungry. I still don't get the trend for a fancy gourmet burger, but who doesn't love a cheeky McDonald's once in a while.
Great watch, 9/10.
