- Sloane Harrington is the black sheep of her family and hasn't been home in years. But when her stepmother dies and the four Harrington siblings prepare to see the family estate, Sloane's brother David convinces her to come back for one last reunion in their childhood home. Soon after arriving, Sloane becomes suspicious of her stepsiblings: are they trying to kill her and David to avoid splitting the inheritance four ways?
- Long having left home and now with a successful marriage to Malik Walker and a successful music career in Vienna as a pianist, Sloane Harrington returns home to the US for the first time upon learning of the accidental death of her stepmother, Avery Harrington. With Sloane's wealthy father having passed years ago, the family home has been occupied by Avery, Sloane's younger brother David Harrington, David's wife Ellie Harrington, Sloane and David's stepsiblings, Avery's children Blake Klein and Lexi Klein, and longtime housekeeper Wendy Bouchard, who has her own cottage on the property. Sloane has never told David why she left and has never returned, leaving him alone with self-centered Blake and Lexi, Blake who has anger issues and Lexi who is solely concerned with her social media influencer status upon which she makes her money. There has always been open animosity especially between Sloane and Blake. There is casual chat among some that Avery's death may not have been an accident, those rumors only exacerbated by the reading of the will and the ambiguity of who is to receive what of the estate. Shortly thereafter, a series of additional deaths occur at the Harrington mansion, arguably murder by someone who has an end goal of being the last one standing to inherit the entire estate.—Huggo
