LOVED IT
panamania-3214524 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This reality/documentary follows 4 Mexican icons of the telenovelas as they come out of sabbatical to record a song written especially for them by Jose Luis Roma. The interaction between these 4 lovely ladies was totally hilarious. In order to appreciate this show to the fullest, you must be familiar with some of the Mexican colloquialisms and the telenovelas they starred in over the years. I could not stop laughing when I saw Sylvia Pasquel swear, I always remember her being on the prim & proper side! When Lucia Mendez and Laura Zapata (I love her) were fighting over the song and Laura kept calling her a dimwit (among other things) in a roundabout way but seemed to mend their differences once the video came out. And when the blonde bombshell Lorena Herrera admitted to not being in the mood for love with her gorgeous husband and ended up going to a sex therapist. You will not be disappointed with these queens!

meh. another manufactured "reality" show, this time with subtitles Warning: Spoilers
Another scripted "reality" show, this time with Latina divas. I don't speak spanish, nor do i know a ton about Latinx culture but I wanted to watch the show anyway, subtitles and all, because it looked like fun.

I was enjoying the show until they got to the scenes about going to the bar. It was all downhill from there. Why would women in their 70's and. Late 60' s be going out to a bar to look for men less than 1/2 their age when they know good and well they'd rather be comfy in bed at 8pm? It's gross when men do it and it's gross for ladies as well.

Then there was the fake meeting in the club restroom. On top of that, they manufactured "drama" over who sang lead during karaoke. Lame. Now it's just a typical reality show and it's no longer interesting.

MEXICAN DIVAS PLAYING MEXICAN DIVAS
wiccan_corr3 October 2022
Sylvia Pasquel, Laura Zapata, Lucía Méndez & Lorena Herrera team up in this "reality tv/documentary" about the four of them -teaming on- to record a song produced by José Luis Roma, leading to several events along the way with all the draaaama, laughs, cameos, looks, fashion and landscapes of Mexico City that you could ever ask for.

I enjoyed it, thb. It's fast, fun, fresh and it's always a delight to see this divas on my screen. Not to be taken seriously, as they practically laugh at themselves and get reintroduced to the audience that so much cares for them.

PD You need some Mexican tv culture to get some of the jokes and references.

Just love it! Watch you won't regret (if you love soap opera)!!

This is my very first review on the website.

I started to see as was a recommendation in my account but I could stop until the very ending. I am not from Mexico so was beautiful to get to know these incredible women. I am a big fan already! I watched everything in one night! And at this moment I want second season, anyone with me?!

No me importa needs to be released now!

I have been listening without stopping their song! And to get to know Thalia sister and how she is such a powerhouse, wow! Everyone in the show got my heart!

Xoxo.

Fun and entertaining! Must for all people who watched mexican telenovelas in 90s

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed this show- it is so funny, hilarious and had this muy buena onda. The context is very easy for understanding for Mexicans and in generally for people from Latin America, since Mexican telenovelas were the most popular, and everyone in any LAT AM country watched at some point Maria Mercedes, Rosa Salvaje or Tu O Nadie: the same goes to people borb in the ex-USSR: in the beginning of 1990s, Mexican telenovela Los Ricos Tambien Lloran was aired by the major state TV channel and turned a national phenomenon with up to 90% ratings in the final episodes

Undoubtedly my most favorite character is Laura Zapata- she is famous for her dramatic acting in telenovelas where she was always the main anthagonist and never got role of a "good girl". One of the most popular telenovelas with Laura Zapata, Rosa Salvaje, became the 3rd mexican soap opera aired by the so called 1st channel in Russia, and it was successful too.

Funny enough, over the course of shooting of Siempre Relnas Zapata went into conflict with Lucia Mendez - eventually the most famous actress and singer among all 4 ladies. Mendez; as opposed to Zapata,, almost always was a main protagonist in telenovelas. However, in this context I can only ca her "malvada" - she is widely known as a quite scandalous person, and she managed to organize crisis in the project of popular Mexican music producer, who wrote a song that should be recorded by all four participants.

Interestingly enough, the 2nd Mexican telenovela demonstrated in Russia was Tu o Nadie, with Lucia Mendez as a main protagonist.
