Sex & Nudity

  • While little is shown, there is graphic discussion about sexual content throughout the film.
  • Multiple references to sexual violence.
  • A woman describes having a sexual fantasy with a man. The man is shown sitting next to the woman and stroking her crotch before passionately kissing her. Moments later, both of them are briefly shown having clothed sex. No nudity and not graphic at all.
  • A woman tries to seduce a man into recreating an erotic dream she had about him. They awkward kiss as the woman unzips the man's pants before the man prematurely ejaculates. While the scene is lengthy, only their faces are shown and everything is heavily implied.
  • When scene is described by young lady to the main character she is seen with revealing cleavage.

Violence & Gore

  • One montage where characters imagine being killed with a variety of tools, including bare hands, garotte wire, a hammer, and several crossbow bolts. These scenes are very realistic.
  • In a dream, a man grabs a woman by her neck and begins choking her. The camera doesn't show this but the sounds of her dying are heard.
  • Sudden moments of violence towards the second half of the film. Some bloody images and injury detail are shown, but they are only shown in brief spurts for shock value.

Profanity

  • Multiple uses of milder terms like "shit" and "asshole" are dropped throughout the film.
  • 22 uses of "fuck"
  • 2 abuses of "Jesus."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some drinking at social gatherings, but nothing else.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film takes a very dark and disturbing turn near the middle and becomes extremely depressing and upsetting near the end.
  • Although this is a comedy, it is a very dark comedy that is more horror-adjacent than a straightforward one. Several jump scares throughout as the film becomes increasingly uncomfortable as it goes on.

Violence & Gore

  • A dream is shown where a man bashes a teenager over the back of the head with a hammer. He then proceeds to bludgeon him in the cheek which is quickly caved inwards, then repeatedly hits him in the head and face. Very realistic and graphic.
  • A woman's finger is partially severed in a door, this isn't shown but you hear her screams and see her afterwards with the graphic wound.
  • In a dream sequence, Paul is chased by a copy of himself who shoots him with crossbow bolts; no blood but every time he is shot it's very loud and jarring, acting as jumpscares. He is later shot in the throat at close range and some blood is shown spraying from his neck.
  • Paul gets into an argument in a cafe the next scene we see his face covered in bruises.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A monstrous creature grabs a character's face in a dream. This is very jarring and shocking, and is a pretty disturbing jumpscare.
