With the Argentine dictatorship and the Spain of the 70s and 80s as a backdrop, this documentary shows us the story of success and lack of control of the musical band from the seventies to the present day with their last concert at the WIznk. With the fame that came to them suddenly, they left school and recorded their first hit: ¨Rock and roll in the town square¨ thus begins their dream of succeeding in rock and their sound and groundbreaking image make them the center of attention in the press and television. With success comes the fan phenomenon of which they will be the first and fundamental representatives and continuing with the girls, the parties, the drugs and the conflicts. This honest documentary begins with a prologue: In 1975 the dictator Francisco Franco died. In 1976, Ariel Rotenberg, 16, and his brother Cecilia and Alejandro Stivelberg, 17, arrived in Spain fleeing the Argentine dictatorship. Months later, Ariel and Alejo meet Felipe Gutierrez, 18 years old, Julian Infante, 20 years old, and Manuel Iglesias, 21 years old. This is their story...

"Tequila. Sexo, Drogas y Rock and Roll" is a documentary that tells the story of the legendary Spanish rock band who provided the soundtrack for the liberation of young people during The Spanish Transition between the late 70s to the early 80s. Tequila was a Spanish-Argentine band founded in Madrid around 1976, formed by the musicians Ariel Rot (guitar), Alejo Stivel (vocals), Julián Infante (guitar), Felipe Lipe (bass) and Manolo Iglesias (drums) and one of the groups of most popular pop-rock in the first years of democracy in Spain. Tequila emerged before the Madrid movement, after the Franco regime, contributing a rock with influences from artists such as Chuck Berry and, above all, The Rolling Stones as well as Argentine rock groups, sounding then very different from urban rock groups, then predominant on the national scene. Themes like Salta!, Quiero besarte, Dime que me quieres or Rock and Roll en la plaza del pueblo, catapulted the five members of Tequila to stardom. They were dissolved in 1982, among other reasons, due to constant differences of opinion among their members. Five young people whose turned in the Spanish Rolling Stones whose suddenly pull off their dream of making good music but that they were destroyed by the incredible fame and success they reached. Although their songs have succeeded in lasting over time as indestructible classics for the later generations as well as new legions of fans. This documentary narrated by Cecilia Roth and with the participation of the survivors of the legendary rock band Tequila, Ariel Rot, Alejo Stivel and Felipe Lipe. And this is because two components: Manuel and Julián of the legendary musical band perished due to drugs and AIDS. It tells the story of the legendary rock group that provided the soundtrack to the liberation of young Spaniards in the transition. Five young people who suddenly achieved their dream of success and who were destroyed by fame and success. But his songs have managed to endure over time as indestructible classics. It reviews all the excesses of the most excessive group of Spanish 'rock and roll it reviews everything. A good part of the film is a casualty report, a detailed description of the rising and their fall into the void from the highest. The arguments, the different lifestyles, the drugs, the need for independence, all of this brought the famous group to an end after a few years in which they achieved national splendor, and several number ones in record sales. After their separation , Alejo followed his own paths and Ariel Rot joined Andrés Calamaro with whom would later form Los Rodríguez. There are also appearances by former interviewers such as Migel De los Santos, presenters such as Silvia Tortosa, Fradejas and José Luís Urribari of the well-known TV program at the time "Aplauso", also as well-known people giving their opinions such as Ramoncin, Gay Mercader, Miguel Ríos, Ernrique Urquijo, Jesús Ordovás, and cameos from Pedro Almodovar, Fabio McNamara, Dani Martín, Juan Diego Botto, María Botto, Jarcha, and several others.

The documentary was well directed by Alvaro Longoria thanks to the meticulous story of all the protagonists Alvaro is a good documentalist qho has made good films as La vida de Brianeitor (2023), Tequila. Sexo, drogas y rock & roll (2022) Tequila.
