Tequila emerged before the Madrid movement, after the Franco regime, contributing a rock with influences from artists such as Chuck Berry and, above all, The Rolling Stones as well as Argentine rock groups, sounding then very different from urban rock groups, then predominant on the national scene. Themes like Salta!, Quiero besarte, Dime que me quieres or Rock and Roll en la plaza del pueblo, catapulted the five members of Tequila to stardom. They were dissolved in 1982, among other reasons, due to constant differences of opinion among their members.
