Brilliant casting
mosquitocyn17 March 2023
I read this is an adaptation of another series called The Cleaning Lady but I've not watched that series before. So, I'm watching this with minimal spoilers. The main cast characters keep me watching this series. Demet as Farah is perfect and she plays her role very well. As a viewer, I feel her emotions and desperation. Engin as Tahir fits perfectly too. He comes across as a hardened killer and his looks and attire is exactly the part. Yet he is kind and lonely and portrays it well in those short moments. The child actor playing Kerimshah is an absolute delight. His huge eyes are very expressive. His smile lights up the screen. There's 2 issues I have with this series from episode 1 to 3 (only 3 episodes released to-date). It's a bit slow paced at some instances that I find myself multi-tasking as I watch. Secondly, the twists and turns in the story can be predictable. I was on spot in predicting some of the developments in the 3 episodes. Now I'm thinking whether my prediction on Kerimshah's father would be correct. All in all, a very watchable series.

good movie but as a iranian myself, im offended.
mohsenpro-7394920 May 2023
The movie is good in many aspects , but in the 12th episode when farah is reading sepideh's writings, the first page should've been swapped with the second page because the meanings don't match with farah's line and the page and line are in wrong orders , i mean is it really that hard to pay an iranian (which there are quite a lot of them in turkey) to ask them a bit of question about the language, noone speaks persian like that and noone writes persian like that, the directors should've put more effort toward Demet Özdemir accent because she speaks persian simply, awful. Karimshah is half iranian and half persian him self so he can speak both language really good and it made me really happy to see atleast 1 of the actors being iranian in a movie where there is a lot of line and talking in my language .

the main theme is taken to another level
jellybon2 March 2023
The series will not be a copy of American or Argentinian series. It will have common elements, but it will be a completely different story. The first episode was excellent. The main theme is taken to another level, one that neither the Americans nor the Argentinians have reached in their versions. A strong cast, and a very well developed script. Engin Akyurek and Demet Ozdemir have an electrifying harmony. Little Rastin Paknahad is far beyond what we have seen in previous versions. It is a great injustice to say that this series is a copy of a version previously made by others...only if you are too stupid to admit it. Watch it and you won't regret it!

Season2 boring, Season1 enjoyable
redeem_er2 March 2023
Season 2 (boring and non-sense) -- 2/10.

Writers are confused about what scenario to write. They just write scenario for 2+ hours waste of time. Simply no interesting story to tell in season 2. Very liked actors, but very poor story, it lacks substance!

Season 1 -- 8/10 Forget about the series 'The Cleaning Lady' and don't compare to it when writing reviews. It's like comparing apples and oranges. You got to pretend you have not seen series 'The Cleaning Lady' otherwise you may not like the series 'Adim Farah.'

Good combination of actors -- Demet, Engin, and Firat. Demet does it again with her real superb acting no matter what role she plays. Engin and Firat acting are wonderful and real especially Firat. The series at times is exciting and suspenseful.

Very promising show and Engin's versatility at his best again
vandysumt5 March 2023
I have not seen the original but this seems to be a very promising show. Gripping story, no histrionics so far, great acting by Engin Akyurek, Demet and supporting cast. Good buildup and will definitely watch the series. I like the pace at which the characters were introduced and how their backgrounds will now unfold giving us a glimpse into their past. Excited!

Hope it stays as gripping as the buildup and does not drag unnecessarily which tends to be the case with most shows.

I am very disappointed by the earlier reviews and the conclusions sometimes viewers draw based on their past biases.

Excellent
thewaveofgrace2 March 2023
Finally last night I saw the first episode.

I personally think that Adim Farah is an excellent product, from every point of view.

Wise remake, built with grace and intelligence.

Convincing, often superlative acting, by each actor, starting with the protagonists Demet Özdemir (Farah) and Engin Akyürek (Tahir), without forgetting Firat Tanis (Mehmet).

Congratulations to whoever took care of the casting.

Direction, screenplay, scenography, music, editing are simply perfect.

The rhythm leaves no room for a single breath and you are not bored even for a moment.

When the episode ends, you want to start watching it again!

I hope it goes on keeping the same level!

Not bad
sania-1947116 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I'm from IRAN and I watched some episodes of this series and there's nothing like "Iranian" thing in this series except the food "fesenjoon". Also I recommend some better Iranian songs to use in the show and also the actors who play as Iranian characters have Turkish accent which makes the show less interesting for Iranian people. Please talk to some real Iranian people to create better season. No Iranian use "Hana" these days and you showed Iranian people old fashioned but we are so modern and also no one use the name "karim" in IRAN, this name is so old. I recommend the director to travel to Tehran and meet some real Iranians :))))

Nice duplication...
afheyran9 April 2023
A very smart duplication of HBO's show 'the Cleaning Lady'. This one has many medical flows but it is still acceptable. Actings are good but Engine still uses his lips to express his feelings. He does not need that because his eyes talks to us perfectly and that is enough. He is amazing in this show. His acting is good. The boy's acting is excellent so is the actresses who plays Farah. The plot is good so are the twists. The police officer is as annoying as the one in HBO show. I cannot see the idea behind the family who are Farsh's friends but it is still engaging. My special thanks to the writers for reminding people of Iran's ongoing Revolution especially by using the song 'our House is Far Far away...'

The quality is very high
chaimeakaouane11 March 2023
Demet is really very good, in all genres, she has shown great versatility, Engin is also really great talent, both put close together create a masterpiece, those who comment badly are because they are unhappy and envious of an objectively perfect work, they deserve so much success. The script, the music, the cast, have enormous potential, they certainly deserve a lot, the commitment is there and they will certainly achieve the success they deserve. Rastin is also really good for his age, he is so adorable in all the scenes, both the ones with Farah and the ones with Tahir, I wish much success to this little star too.

Season 1 is good , Season 2 is waste of time
interisah23 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Farah (DEMIT) is a young doctor who escapes her problems in IRAN and immigrates illegally to Turkey to take care of her sick son , in Turkey she is facing many challenges every where but again she manages to survive for the sake of her son KERIM until she accidentally witness a crime that will put her life in danger and then she will meet TAHIR ( ENGIN ) the watchdog for the businessman family who was meant to get rid of her but instead he protects FARAH and her son . During all of this MEHMET ( FIRAT ) the highest investigator in police is trying to gather a clear evidence to put the corrupted businessmen behind jails while he is trying to push FARAH to admit the crime he will face TAHIR one of his enemies .

Many turnovers and surprises will take place as usual in the Turkish drama .

Overall show is not more than 6/10 I have enjoyed season 1 with impressive acting and thrilling actions . Good Turkish DRAMA for the good & the bad and the usual combination between corrupted business men and government and of course the sweet romance between all of this .

Demit is talented actress and she is the real hero for this show ! Firat has done an unbelievably good role as well and finally Engin as usual you can't get enough of him .

Season 2 is a huge flop and so boring with many characters gone and new weak characters joined for no clear reason . I guess the producers were not able to provide more money .

The finale of season 2 and the whole show is a bit funny and non-reasonable and far away from the Turkish drama endings !!

Big façade and incompetent acting
seymaserdar22 January 2024
There is nothing in this story that portrays a refugee from Iran nor a mother that fights for her sick child. These Turkish actors have tried to portray the Iranian people as stupid people. Farah walking around in much skin-revealing clothes, showing her breasts, wearing expensive watches, designer bags, diamonds, pearls and hiding behind so-called modernity has nothing to do with women who fled Iran. These actors have no sensitivity at all and cannot act. Let them make fun of their own Turkish culture and their own people. They are fake incompetent actors. Iranian women who have fled Iran from violent men or for whatever reason do not have a lapdog to solve everything for them and cover up their criminal actions. These women fight for their freedom and build a life by working day and night to make a living and do not start a relationship with a criminal for a residence permit and a luxury life. This is a series based on lies and absolutely not in accordance with reality. Engin Akyurek should not spread lies. He is not credible, he's confused, lost track of reality and ignorant. He should not spread nonsense. He has no understanding of Iranian customs, culture and background. He should have done some research and not act like a macho. Someone who wants to provide insight into what is happening in the world and wants to help people does not go to Iran, blow up people with hand grenades. How believable is this nonsense. He crosses borders without checkpoints, hides goldbars in his socks and yells our women are modern for 100 years. Big facade, incompetent acting. What a clown!

EXCELLENT with wanting to see the next episode right away
stefaniaclaudio2 March 2023
When a series leaves me wanting to keep watching the second episode right away then it's the right one! This is the case with Adim Farah! From the very first scenes he glued me to the screen with an ever increasing rhythm parallel to moments of great intimacy, all reinforced by the great skill and credibility of the leading actors such as Engin Akyurek (Tahir), Demet Ozdemir (Farah), FIrat Tanis (Mehmet) and little Rastin Paknahad (Kerim) who managed to get into the characters and the story so well that I reached the end of the episode, after 2 hours, without realizing it and exclaiming "already finished!!!" I don't know the story well, except in broad terms, of the series from which this remake is based, but I don't care much in the end because I liked what I saw last night, and a lot!

The cast, the screenplay, the direction, the editing, the photography and last but not least the soundtrack are perfect... in short, a great product.

I hope it's just the beginning of a long exciting journey... I rarely find series that leave me with that eagerness to see the next episode and in this case I can't wait for next Wednesday!

IMPRESSIVE!
shafsa-4445622 May 2023
I am absolutely enamored with this series! It captivates me with its exceptional storyline, gripping suspense, brilliant performances, undeniable chemistry between the lead characters, and the heartwarming connection shared by Kerim, his mother, and Tahir. Adim Farah truly represents the epitome of a remarkable adaptation, surpassing any expectations I had from its source material, the Cleaning Lady (which, by the way, if you were unaware, is what it's based on). Despite reading numerous comments drawing comparisons to other Turkish series, I find myself unable to identify any similarities because this show continuously surprises me, defying any predictions I attempt to make. The talent displayed by every actor is praiseworthy; it's as if the roles were tailor-made for them. Engin Akyürek's performance is nothing short of incredible!

Good but not exceptional
sanmck-3627324 May 2023
This serie is ok. I don't like the lead actor in this role. He is good at happiness and love but I don't believe as a mafia man. The lead actress is good but again always stiff when it comes to physical scenes. She is making it work as a mother. The scenes between the police officer and Tahir are to be laughed at. They should practice the running and fighting scenes, to me it looks fake and amateur. The story line is getting better around the 10 episode. I think people are making it something it's not because they love those two actors and they can't see the negative. I feel bad saying this for a child actor, but I don't think he is good.

I will watch to see the story unfolds and it's good enough to continue but I hope it's not to many episodes.

Flop Farah
mac20242 December 2023
I've realized once again that real drama acting is only for a few real, good actors and Demet Özdemir is not one of them. She's a lousy drama actress. She needs to stay away from real drama actors. She stained them with her vulgar, toxic and disgusting behavior. Her bad acting skills and bad influence brought this Adim Farah series to the abyss. Fox even changed the genre from drama, maffia to comedy. The real drama actors like Feyyaz Duman and Engin Akyürek had to lower their abilities and adapt to Demet Özdemir's ability because she couldn't keep up with their advanced acting. Demet Özdemir is not at their acting level. She ruined this series and ripped out its heart. Demet Özdemir just can't hold a scene with Feyyaz Duman and Engin Akyürek. There is a disconnect and a huge gap in acting level. Seems Demet Özdemir can't hold the deepness and emotions of Engin Akyürek in their scenes and therefore he overacts and acts like a clown in order to compensate for her underperformance. In other words Engin Akyürek and Fox keep Demet Özdemir in the game despite her shortcomings. Engin Akyürek lowered his standards for his incompetent costar Demet Özdemir. His focus is not to show his insane acting skills and to provide a good story but to highlight his bad jokes and to join her in this bad comedy show by acting like a lead clown. This series is a failure! Wrap this rubbish up!

Excelente serie
ilavandier9 March 2023
The series is very good. Good plot, good performances, direction, music, set design. Engin Akyürek excellent in his role, he has created Tahir Lekesiz as a unique character in the mafia world, he has all the nuances he needs. Demet, whom I see for the first time, makes Farah a believable character and a strong mother. Tahir's world will be shaken by the presence of Farah and his son who will add a touch of humanity to his life. Kerimsah will remind Tahir of forgotten maternal feelings and restore her humanity. I think it will have a long journey in the world, like all the works of Engin Akyürek Good luck to you all.

Most ridiculous plot!!
sillyolebear11 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I have watched this whole show, hoping an episode would redeem itself from the previous episode!!

It just gets worse!' Looking for true love? You will only observe the most ridiculous love scenarios!' An educated doctor taking her dying son into a mafia house where they kill everyday! She screams her way through the whole show!! She is the worst!!

She falls in love with the main sociopathic killer of all!! Because he has a bad childhood?? Ridiculous!!

The love scenes are gross!! Sorry Engin but kissing a woman with big lips just doesn't suit you. All closed mouth you see!! Because he doesn't know how to kiss?? No, poor guy!!

No chemistry at all. Just the opposite.

Another love scene?? The main FB I falling for the lawyer of the mafia!! No conflict of interest?

Old people that have so many affairs with the others wife!!

But best of all?? Two young people fall in love!! She from the head of the Mafias daughter, the groom from the son of the head of the Mafia!! Oh wait, it gets funnier. While the wedding music is playing they are looking for the groom!!

He is upstairs making out with Tahirs old mistress! Now that was some kissing!!

Now Engin announces the next season will be better!! Haha. That means the first season was bad?? First intelligent words he speaks!! Duh!!

This show should be canned before it causes anymore embarrassment!!

But the plot just gets more and more ridiculous!! Lol.

Excelent!
simonaionescu-5619912 March 2023
Currently, Demet is among the most talented, appreciated and successful actresses in Turkey...The serial film is of high quality, captivating, you don't have time to get bored, it deals with sensitive themes about the life of emigrants, illness, the mafia. The character Farah was predestined to Demet. It's a lesson about pain, fear, despair, but first of all about the courage, value and strength of a woman, of a mother who does anything to see her child healthy. The actors Demet and Engin complement each other, the harmony is great. The film deserves all the awards! Bravo!!!.....Good luck!!...

Demet amazing performance!!! Da vedere
gia5016612 March 2023
This series is so beautiful. Every time you feel like you're watching a finished film. Direction, editing, photography, music are made to keep the viewer glued to the screen. The story is very interesting, the suspense always high. Special mention for Demet who plays Farah, this actress is a real talent, she passes without difficulty from the comic genre to the dramatic without difficulty. Her performance is so natural. Accompanied by the great Engin, award-winning actor who tries his hand at a new but absolutely spot on role. The Rastin, Kerimsah, is a baby so talented and every actor is good.

Emperor's New Clothes
brose-1237720 April 2023
People have been blindly willing to accept this ridiculous story as good simply because they are fanatical fans of the two protagonists.

The storyline is absurd where we are led to believe that good is bad and bad is good. As the story unfolds in each episode it is more apparent the script writers fooled no one with this plot.

It's loud screaming, lumbering walking, annoying background music and sub par acting are just boring.

Are we to believe a barrage of gunfire from a row of sharp shooters hit no one? A sham wedding with a terrified looking bride in her apparently sexy nightgown dress and Herman Munster groom have time to yell sweet nothings at each other while dodging bullets? And by now the not so surprising relationship between two characters will be revealed if you can manage to stay awake to find out in the next episode!

Enough is enough. Are people too stupid to see this so called entertainment is the same old lame boy meets girl, boy falls for girl and the fantasy continues. The boy looks like an overacting old man grinning at his young daughter eerily. She is always a hot mess with that gravely voice attempting to be a serious actor who fails miserably.

If you were hoping to watch a crime drama with a touch of spice and intrigue you have been duped. Also the close up shots revealing nose hairs, stringy hair and bulging eyes are such an awful attempt at closeups, a young child could do better with their first attempt to use a camera!

So too little from the supporting cast and too much from the two leads to make this show even mediocre at best. Stop fooling yourselves. You want to see good mafia drama watch the Godfather or Sopranos.

My suggestion is pull the plug on this mindless show and put the viewer out of his/her misery. Go watch the Emperor's New Clothes one day soon! It is much more intriguing.

BEST TURKISH SERIES OF 2023
lexasmithx2 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
For me, Adim Farah is better than the original adaptation, The Cleaning Lady. The characters are well-written and there is keen attention to details. Great harmony between the leads and topnotch performances. No dull moment and you are always on the edge of your seat. I love Tahir, Farah & Kerim's relationship. The turkish production have created more depth & more heart with the main characters.

Music, visuals, and all the casts are really making this show worth-watching. I would like to commend the director & scriptwriters for giving justice to the story. Pity, it's not available to watch in other countries. This is truly a must-watch!

Not Good
saxtonyvonne18 November 2023
This version is not as good as the American version, it's now a love story which would be ok if the protagonists were comfortable with their love scenes. The male character is known for his performance as a character who is good at acting as a romantic person, this is not one of his best. The female protagonist is so stiff and she seems uncomfortable in the romantic scenes. Because they turned the series into a romantic one they made it fail to meet the standards. The writers changed too much of the original story. There are a few episodes left so maybe they can salvage some of it. I would not watch it again.

THE BEST DIZI OF 2023
adry-4030530 April 2023
Adim Farah is undoubtedly the best dizi of 2023, although it's a remake of the series 'La Chica que Limpia', the excellent team of scriptwriters is offering us a completely different story that grabs us as each chapter progresses, that added to the great cast headed by Engin Akyürek and Demet Özdemir, accompanied by actors like Firat Tanis, Senan Kara and little Rastin Paknahad.

Its strength is not only in the main story and the excellent performances of its two main characters, but in the whole: interesting side stories, soundtrack, photography, scenery.

Each episode keeps our interest in the TV for more than two hours and leaves us longing for the next episode to come quickly.

Don't waist your time, watch another good show
fovfstldj4 April 2024
Hello, I started watching this show in Spain, I gave it a chance despite the bad reviews from the professionals critics, not the reviews from the fans, because the reviews from the fans are always good.

Starting with the look of the protagonists, let me tell you that they are not eye candy, and this, unfortunately, is a hook that people watch the shows because some protagonist is handsome, in this case it is the opposite.

The acting is absurd, exaggerated, the protagonist would be better off in a ridiculous comedy show, just like the acting of its female protagonist, it is terrible. The plot is also absurd. They don't have any chemistry. The truth is, if you want to see a better version, stay with the original version.
