Decent watch
wfazal923 November 2023
It's obvious the kurds will be upset and will give a low rating because the fact is Salahuddin Ayyubi was a kurdish hailed from a kurdish family. Raised by Nur ud din Zengi RA. The music I can agree with its a let down.. alparsalan layer down the benchmark for the music, the show even though is created by The same creators. I also believe even though I have not been the region where it filmed shows far too much greenery where I believe should be more sand mountains than anything. NO SHOW will ever capture u like Ertugrul did.. but still in these time of need to muster up courage. Still a decent watch.

good historical show
chandkhurshid15 November 2023
The actors of the show are well chosen, sets are great, but the downside is the background music. The character of Selahaddin is supposed to be a very strong one, which the actor is ,no doubt, but the background music is so weak that it overshadows the main character .It is loud, very shrill that it hurts the ears. If you can make the music more strong, grand it will greatly help the show. Its music is similar to that of Hyrredin ( another Turkish show) which was very annoying. If someone directly linked to the show, Selahaddin, is reading this review and is able to make this change it will greatly improve its ratings.

AMAZING
youssefshaherk25 November 2023
I've been binge watching a lot of shows lately. American, British and Turkish. I have never been as glued as I am right now with this show. Keep in mind the episodes are long and yet I'm glued. This beats any Hollywood show I have ever seen. It's a masterpiece. Most tv shows I have seen usually start slow and have a climax then die down again. This show is different. It starts hot right out of the gates. You don't have to wait episode after episode for the story to unfold. Keeps you glued and intuned from the first moment. The cinemagraphy is amazing. The main lead is amazing. This is the first time I watch a show that feels complete.

Finally! It's here!
chowdhurysabiq27 November 2023
Well well after a long wait of 2 years, it's finally here and it did not disappoint! From the spectacular scenes and Arab vibe, to the great cast, everything is spot on! The BGM is also great. I just hope they can add better ones. But overall it's great and I believe it can eventually compete with series such KO and UBS. For those who are complaining that they didn't refer the character as Kurdish are just hating for no reason. Just watch the series and enjoy it! There is a few fictional scenes but that's common among all series to contain suspense. Overall it's great so far and I hope they can do even better!

False History!
zawandxoshnaw19 November 2023
This series was worth consediring and the whole world should know that Salaadeen eyyoubi was a muslim kurdish and fought under the name of Kurds. Except that the turkeys have deprived Kurds of all their rights in RL and even in this series, I also consider this to be a political reason for producing and directing such a series under their name. As Of Kurdish people we were surprized when we heard that a series about our revolutionist muslim Hazrat Salaadeen Eyyoubi was in development. We thought that they might say that he is kurdish and name him as a kurdish. But not even once they called him a kurd or kurdish.

Great show with good message
seymerkevin28 November 2023
Its a good show with suspense and a good story. A must watch for history interested people and people wanting to know more about crusaders, Jersualem and Salahudeen.

He is not portrayed as a Turk or Kurd or Arab he is portrayed as a muslim and that his actions was based in his strong belief and not nationality. That is something we all should appreciate. Nationality and ethnicity is not relevant, your morals and actions is what makes you. A great message in a great show.

The episodes is a bit long but it is worth it because the characters are complex and the story is deep so the time is needed and well used.

Selahaddin ethnic background
salarmahmood-2899121 November 2023
Salah ad-Din Yusuf ibn Ayyub commonly known as Saladin, was the founder of the Ayyubid dynasty. Hailing from a Kurdish family, he was the first sultan of both Egypt and Syria. An important figure of the Third Crusade, he spearheaded the Muslim military effort against the Crusader states in the Levant. At the height of his power, the Ayyubid realm spanned Egypt, Syria, Upper Mesopotamia, the Hejaz, Yemen, and Nubia. Turkish obsessor government wants to disform the ethnicity of this Mulsim hero to make as turkish character but whole world knew that this reality can not be changed and this Hero will always become Kurdish victorious hero.

The scenario is similar to Ertugul when they face challenges because of the local traitor who works for crusade knights and Salahhadin has a weak and feminist personality with impulsive reaction.

Masterpiece of the History
asifiqbal-pak28 November 2023
It is a known fact that Saladin or Salah Ud Din Ayyubi belonged to a Kurdish family, his whole life was spent into uniting the Muslim world and get the Kudus back from the templers / crusader's hands and make it a peaceful place that it has been for every religion.

The making and the plot of the series here does not make you yo believe about the Saladin character in either ways that he belongs to Turkish tribe.

The makers are Turkish and Pakistanis, so how can you expect that the makers will try to plot the series making you belief that the Saladin was Turk man?

I have not found anything in the series yet which I could see misleading.

I'll update my review in the later coming episodes if I find my review doesn't meet what I wrote.

Thanks for reading.

False History and Misinformation on Historical Events.
biryarjalali22 November 2023
Are we really surprised here? Turkey making a Historical Series based on events that happened during the 12th Century between the Muslims and the Nights Templar? Even more surprised that they are brainwashing people into thinking that Salah Ad'Din Ayubbi is a Turk, when in REALITY, he's a Kurd from the Hadhabani Kurdish Tribe, that is located within Kurdistan itself, slowly migrating to Tikrit, which is Modern Day Iraq. The fact that there are Kurds, who are ALIVE TODAY AS OF NOW, who are descendants of this Tribe, that was formed during the 10th Century (WAY BEFORE TURKS THEMSELVES EVEN ENTRERED ANATOLIA, which their migration period occured during the 13th Century) and Turks claiming Salah Ad'Din to be a Turk is beyond me. It's so sad to see that Turkey is trying their best to deny anything and EVERYTHING that is related to the Kurds themselves. This is what is called FEAR from the enemies of the Kurds. First the Persians steal Pre-Islamic Kurdish History, now Turkey are attempting this on Post-Islamic Kurdish History. Not surprised at all, the enemies of the Kurds stealing Great Kurdish History. I hope anyone, who reads this Review actually does some research for themselves based on this topic of Kurdish History and look at what is happening to the Kurds as of now in Mesopotamia and Sham (Syria) by the perpetrators (Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria... mainly Turkey and Iran). Hopefully people realise that this cause of action against the Kurds by these 4 countries is a cause of assimilation, fade of identity and oppression against an ethnic group (the Kurds), who are denied their rights as humans within those 4 countries, who occupied their lands. If you ever see a Turk say that Kurds and Turks are brothers, this is a LIE. Do not believe what they say on their (Kurds) behalf. Because this right here, is an example, that Turks do not want anything related to the Kurds to become viral and make the Kurds famous on a global scale, since praising and supporting Kurds this way through drama series and movies, can spread awareness and curiosity and cause people to do research on what is actually happening to them currently in the Middle-East. Thanks for your time.

Mind bending series

Warning: Spoilers
This drama has unique features that can't be described. Very energetic series. When you pass the 4 to 5 episodes then you realize the real story and real enjoyment. Then it becomes too much delicious 😋 that can not be described by words . Off course this series in future will be a great exposure. This drama has unique features that can't be described. The Turks once again stealing from the Kurds
AilishNi11 December 2023
Title says it all really. Can we not give credit where it is due? Must Turkey lie all the time? Is the fear they feel or are brainwashed to feel so ingrained within the nation's psyche that they have to believe that they are the heroes in every outcome? The Kurds, Armenians and Greeks would strongly disagree with you.

This is a dangerous path to take. Historical revisionism appears to be the norm these days and the culture of misinformation has spread all over the world. People need to do their research before consuming any media that could be construed as controversial.

The brits do it all the time when it comes to Ireland so I know how it feels to have your culture and their icons stripped from you and credit given to a foreign nation who has ethnically cleansed you for centuries.

HISTORY ON A BUDGET
alexanderfrancislee26 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Well what can I say about this series? I am a non Turkish-speaker and honestly, this is the very first Turkish TV Series that I have watched fully. But I enjoyed this series thoroughly. Ok, acting was alright and don't expect a cast of "thousands" for the battle scenes. I mean it is the general idea that the "armies" were huge although just showing a paltry number of soldiers/knights. Plot-wise keeps you glued to the screen - cross, double-cross, espionage, romance, ok fighting scenes, handsome actors who manage to exude the love/hate aura they portray onscreen, etc. Quite unrealistic though, that the Ghazis win almost EVERY battle with almost no casualties on their part, Other than these shortcomings, it was an enjoyable ride.

drama/fantasy instead of historical serie
achrefafli-9601819 April 2024
This "whatever it is serie" plunges viewers into a world where historical accuracy goes to die and fantasy reigns supreme. From atrocious acting to abysmal directing, this series is a masterclass in how not to create compelling historical drama.

Traveling a distance of 300-400 miles on horses in just few hours sounds ridiculous.

The events are like an endless loop, sounds like a nightmare, no creativity at all.

Crusaders are nothing more than a punching bag where you could breach into a mighty city defenses and walls with no sieges, just 3 men like you moving around your living room.

Stop using "Great historical figures" as a franchise.

The series is not making any mark amongst the viewers
osamariaz-5368222 March 2024
The production is good enough but the series isn't making any mark. I mean come on we have already wasted watching 5 seasons of Ertugrul and Kurulus Osman series, why can't they fast track the story? We are hell tired of watching treachery and internal politics, the entire 5 seasons of Ertugrul and Kurulus Osman were about oppression and same is with this series. We are very much tired of watching this. When we will start watching them establish something? More of achievements it's about the family drama and internal politics. One thing common in all series is that the main lead has to fight more with his family rather than opponents.

Magnificent Series!
sabiqisjeff26 November 2023
What a start! After waiting for almost 2 and a half years since it's announcement, it's finally here and it's looking great so far! Starting from the cast to the vibe, everything is on spot. The Background music is not too bad altogether there is lots of room for improvement. But overall, it's not bad. I know a lot of people are upset that series didn't mention him as a Kurdish but that's not the main objective. It doesn't matter whether they mention him as Kurdish or not, as long as we enjoy the series. Also people complain that it contains a lot of fictional scenes and characters but the same applies to other series like DE, KO, UBS and ABS. Let's just watch the series without picking up any faults. I would recommend them to improve the BGM if possible.

Full of false hsitory
hussainalqatawneh5 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
From the first episode they have started changing the historical event, i will give some of the examples, like 1-)the story why did father of salahudin ran from iraq, 2-) it was at the time of Imad al-Din Zengi, not at the time of Nur al-Din Zengi (his son), 3-) Nur al-din never adopted or claimed that salahuddin was his son at all, and the historical mistakes goes on.

For a historical episode of such a great known character like Salahuddin , she should have worked better , and never changed the history, because at this rate i cant trust their work or any detail mentioned in the series.

Wish you enjoy the series weither you like the real history or not.

Best of wishes.

MASTERPIECE WORK!
z-8262124 November 2023
Absolutely brilliant work done by Turkey to remind Muslims of their amazing history.... Salahuddin Ayyubi is a hero for all Muslims rather than for Kurds alone. Really appreciate the commendable work done by all the characters in the series...At this time when Israel & Palestine war is going on, this series relates to the current situation of the Muslim Ummah & that the challenges faced by Muslim leaders today to conquer Jerusalem were same as back then but it is the Iman of Salahuddin Ayyubi that helped him conquer it. It also portrays how back then also Muslims were divided & we see the same today as well...Lastly the series could not have been released at a much better time than this! Love from Pakistan to all Muslims around the World.

Too much romance
maslesaeldin22 January 2024
Dont know why turks need to show too much romance into these shows, ertugul, osman, salahudin, i believe that this is not thst needed to show for this important character. And they conquor whole world with few batles and fighters. Why they dont show mass battles with large amount of army if we know that was the case. In some batles these was thousands casulties. Fight scenes are not that convincing. Main character was hit multiple times and he survive, side character hit once died at once. Blod is blured for no reason. There should be invested more into theae tv shows especially for this important historic persons.

Series Fails to Deliver on Historical Promise
omarrarif7 May 2024
The series started with significant potential, but the writing has been deeply unsatisfactory. From the outset, the main character, Salauddin, appears powerless, surrounded by merely five allies perpetually engaged in recovery tasks-whether it's saving hostages, finding lost tribes, or retrieving ancient artifacts. He lacks any definitive leadership traits. Furthermore, the show misrepresents the historical narrative, offering a shallow, one-dimensional storyline. It's a complete letdown and pales in comparison to 'Kurulus Osman', which is richly layered and compelling enough that it never wears out its welcome.

To hilarious🤣
shafyee-1101424 November 2023
Turks made all the historical series but in the style of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk(hain) 😄 like equal rights of women.

Womens ar fighting, women leading, these are all in the style of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.(hain) 😄 But honestly before 1850 women of any religion did not even dare to step out of the house. So did they really fight in 1170 Actually they want to retain the female audience by showing the power of women.

It is boring to show unnecessary scenes in the series, Kurulus Usman, Abdul Hamid, Alp Arsalan, how many series are made by Turks in one style 🤣 Turkish series should be changed, because their productions are not only seen by them, but they have a worldwide audience, they should keep in mind this fact.

Well on Time Series
ziarehman-4668327 February 2024
Really was waiting to watch something for such a great leader's biography. The story covers his early life history too and struggles which he faced during his whole life. It looks like similar situations are being faced by the people now too. Special character of karategin has made the stoey very interesting. The character of Sultan Noor ud din is very strong and his acting is also very good. Gregor is posing similar styles so he should change some styles. Abram is playing his role beautifully. The rests characters need to put some extra efforts in their role to attract audoence more. Overall it is a beautiful series to watch.

Show Real MASJID-E-AQSA
iamovesh21 February 2024
You guys have made this drama very well.

But in the poster of this play, instead of Masjid-e-Aqsa, Qubbat As-Sakhra (Dome of the Rock) has been shown which is taking people's attention to another direction, in reality Masjid-e-Aqsa is not this, it is this That's not what you're talking about. Are talking. You have shown Qubbat As-Sakhrah in the poster instead of Masjid Aqsa, so please change the poster so that people know Masjid Aqsa.

Women fighting, women leading, all in the style of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. (are) e but aa honestly speaking, before 1850, women of any religion did not even dare to step out of the house. So did they really fight in 1170? Actually they want to retain the female audience by showing the strength of women, and this is a fitna in the name of women rights.

A masterpiece
anonnymous-936035 March 2024
It provides great insight into situation of an important historical period in a geographical area that is politically significant for various stakeholders in a pleasant to watch format.

The characters depicting their roles are great.

Some charismatic people are selected as the leaders of their appropriate groups.

There are some minor historical inaccuracies especially in their finer details for all parties involved in the story but I can understand that probably those details were required to be added in order to make the show more pleasant to a wider audience who aren't interested in a documentary style of depicting the situation.
