This movie was shot in just 10 days in basically one location. Shooting anywhere from 8 1/2 pages to 18 pages a day. And was shot almost completely in sequence as seen on the final cut.
Casting was done more than 4 months ahead of shooting to allow the actors to rehearse and memorize to accommodate the 10 day shooting schedule.
Of the crew of 13, 3 had never done anything with film making before, and a fourth had never worked on a feature length film.
Chars Bonin (writer/director/producer/actor), Stein Rosburg (producer), and Chris Schuette (composer) all graduated from Blaine High School in Minnesota (class of 1989).
Everyone involved in the making of "Finding Home" hails from Minnesota, although Andrea Burish (make up) and Marcus Taylor (Script Supervisor) had relocated to Los Angeles and Albaquerque and were flown in for the shoot.
