Serves its purpose

I went into this movie with some expectations that it would make me laugh, because I see a few funny guys from other movies or dramas I have seen. The guy from Waikiki, Fiery Priest, and Vincenzo, all were funny in respective dramas. A lottery ticket landing in North Korea from South Korea and soldiers from both countries fighting for it was a promising concept.

It's always the problem though with high(er) expectation. Um Mun Suk was hilarious in The Fiery Priest and less so here. Go Kyung Pyo is the least funny for a main character, but all in all 6/45 is still a hilarious movie, I found myself laughing out loud a good many times.

If you are looking for a new Korean comedy to remedy a gloomy day, definitely go see this.

Funny version of JSA with some CLOY humor
phd_travel15 March 2023
Hilarious and well written comedy should be seen by audiences all across over the world. There was an old movie about N&S soldiers meeting up and bonding called Joint Security Area. But that was tragic. This comedy is a funny movie from start to finish. Not just about the lottery ticket but what happens in N and in the S when they switch. A bit of Crash Landing humor contrasting the 2 countries and their values and speech. Don't have to be Korean to appreciate most of the jokes though. Good performances from GKP and LYK. Could have been even longer. Premise was so good. Beautifully filmed too.

This is a 7.5+ movie. Don't believe the 6.9 one. One of the funniest movies ever.

South Korean cinema is on a whole another level these days, and I'm not just comparing Hollywood to it. This movie is one of funniest ever made and it joins other hilarious Korean comedies like Extreme Job, Midnight Runners and Confidential Assignment in keeping you entertained until the last minute. So many hilarious laugh out loud moments. The chemistry among the cast is so evident in every scene and they're having fun, just like we the audience are having fun watching them. The 6.9 rating here isn't bad, but this is arguably a movie that should be in the 7.5+ rating range. Go Kyung-Pyo has been killing it lately and is amazing. Wonder why he was shut out during the Korean movie award season. Park Se-Wan is as hilarious as she is gorgeous. This is the first movie I've seen with Lee Yi-Kyung is a main lead role and he's fantastic too. The rest of the cast is fantastic too - Eum Moon-Suk, Kwak Dong-Yen, Lee Soon-Won and Lee Joon-Hyuk play well off each other and each one gets a scene to showcase their comedic talent. Amazing movie and a must watch for broad comedy fans, and fans of Korean cinema.

Hilarious and entertaining
mosquitocyn12 March 2023
I watched this movie on a long haul flight, not knowing much about it nor the actors. So, I was very pleased with the choice, made me laugh outright many times and was entertaining from start to end. It was well paced and never a dull moment. The story is a bit far fetched and the development is also far fetched but this is a comedy and doesn't need to follow sense, I guess. There are quite a few characters and all of them acted pretty well. The political issues are handled well and even the jokes made are not discriminating. A little romance thrown in made it enjoyable too. A good choice to watch whether with friends, family, couples or even on your own.

Crash Landing Lottery.
chand-suhas27 May 2023
I have to be glad for Cinepolis to run the show just for me. It was about to be cancelled as I was the only one to book the ticket and they agreed to run the show. Watching a movie alone in the theater is simply too fun.

6/45 is about a winning lottery ticket owned by a South Korean soldier landing in the North Korean zone, accidentally ofcourse and a North Korean soldier gets hold of it. Eventually both the parties decide to divide the amount equally aka 50:50. How they manage to pull this off by sending one soldier to collect the money while exchanging two soldiers as guarantee.

It's simply an outright silly premise and filled with low brow humour especially in the second half which delivered back to back hilarious scenes. They do enjoy playing to the stereotypes and the actors too came across to be funny enough pull off those scenes. However, the ending was bit of a downer with it being haphazard and poor CGI for the wild boar.

It still is an easy one time watch due to multiple funny scenes.

disappoint in the first 20 mins, watch the whole thing for me...
v-8693418 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Everything starts perfectly. Starting to get disappointed around 20 mins into the movie. Watchers can feel the happiness of the guy who got the lottery ticket and it was destined to be his ticket since it travel the long way and land in-front of him. It make me feel distress and starting to lose interests in this movie I even want to give this movie a chance and try to fast forward the movie to see if whats gonna happen next. Disappoint leads to disappoint I can't handle the movie and skip this right away. This is a fair nice movie and entertain but I'm too inpatient and disappoint quickly definitely not for me.
