Kid's World,,
fariborzzaksea23 July 2023
Wonderful soulful movie, very worth to watch and think. This movie helps you to think about the events happen around you. The Director ( Ernesto Contreras) chose the dialogue carefully, I think this movie is a success because of such director.

Kid's World , How kids see the world around themselves/ How is the reality around kids ? Rich or Poor kids , they have their own ways to see the world. Rich or Poor kids believe in Magic , They want to reach their own dreams with Magic . Could dreams became Reality (Teacher gave. Jules Verne book to boy )? And Life goes on (The train will leave the station to the next station). You cannot change Past but you can build your Future.

You can become whatever you dream to be

I have not had the blessing to see a movie like this, Spanish or not ( this one has English subtitles available) for a long, long time. The landscapes and photography are amazing, the actors and actresses so natural, engaged and charismatic, and the plot is Universal..." Where the tracks end", was inspired by real events in Mexico in the old 60's, when train wagons were used as schools in some of the poorest rural areas of the country, although the characters and situations in the movie are fiction. The movie talks about the innocence of the first Love, Family, Life twists (sometimes sad, sometimes happy), friendship (yes, including the doggie ones), poverty and injustice, strength and the intrinsec Power of Reading and education... and a wonderful, brave, kind but strict rural Teacher, that will touch and transform lives, and will bring Hope and resilience to her students with all of her heart, specially to the new kid in the village, Ikal, who has to move a lot with his Dad and Mum, because his Dad has a job as a rail track worker, and whose Mum has a life-condition that does not let her work for the sake of her humble family. Even the beloved teacher, Maestra Georgina, has her own secret pain that will empower her, also, to eventually help Ikal's to change his Life forever... Please enjoy it with your family, and make sure that have some popcorn and a box of Kleenex beside you!

TEACHER...Thats where the movie track begins and Ends
philipthomas-8514224 January 2024
Heart Felt Feel good movie intrinsically directed, casted ,presented, summarized in one and half hour. The Knowledge base, poverty, goodness where it starts, how it overtakes your life in childhood , how it can make and break you, a community living which can absorb or dissolve you, the Teaching profession which can only give, share, enlighten, put you on a track from the start till the end. If you have lived a similar life of struggle, if you gone through migrations, village to towns, if you have lived a life of poverty, hard work at the same time contributed to the imaginary interest of the State, you will like this heartfelt movie...Nice...Watch.

Sensitive, Beautiful & True to the core
satksri-9220830 May 2023
A simple tale- of kids, their struggling parents, a sincere teacher, and of the harsh realities of a make shift rail-road community. The story is close to life and brings out the best in the characters, despite poverty and inequities of rural life. It captures the wonder and the joy of growing up with friends. Ikal, the child, is brought back to the school as if by fate, where he had all this amazing time; The school needs him. He also meets his childhood love - and effortlessly slips into his new role as a teacher - something he always wanted to do- inspired by his late teacher Ms Georgina.

The unique thing about the movie is- it captures childhood without any hype. It makes no contrived effort to lead the story to a good end. Above all, it inspires the viewer to see GOOD in people and circumstances.

Inspiring Movie.

Beautiful joyful, heart breaking and inspiring movie
the_ado_odyssey29 May 2023
I really enjoyed watching this movie it's filled with what could be real facts which is what makes it sad, what I liked the most of it was how they managed to focus in the good things in the life of a child who was fortunate to have good guidance from his parents and teacher, and I say fortunate because as we see in the movie not all kids had even that. It's sad to think that this happens in real life but I am glad this story made into a platform like Netflix where many people in this world can see it and get a grasp of what life is in different parts of the world and feel inspired to do good, this movie made me realize that what matters is what you give and the good things you leave in peoples hearts, that's what really matters and not material things.

Beautiful film
pigues3 June 2023
This film portrayes life in a simple, realistic and moving way.

It is a beautiful story about the importance of teaching, and it develops without oversensitive tricks.

It might seem simple but it is this simplicity which makes it realistic and captivating.

In the movie there are deaths and difficulties which are part of real life, and it shows how characters adapt and deal with life without heroic events.

What is heroic is, as Mrs. Georgina says, "life a good life", and I ended up crying at the end, with some characters leading a good life, others dying too young, and others having the courage to change and do something meaningful.

Highly recommeded, specially if you can see it in the original Spanish version.

Obnoxious
feliperivas-4715325 February 2024
Not only is it awkwardly corny but also WHY did the children (girls) in this movie wear those type of pants that tried to "accentuate" their behinds?! A creep directed this and I assume the costume designer was a creep too. Let kids be kids, no need to try to give a creepy attempt at "eye candy" from them. Honestly, the movie seemed like it could be rather enjoyable but this monstrosity made me nope out of there. One of the little girls wears one of those jeans designed to bunch up in the back and there is ALSO a yellow outline at her backside too, like around the pockets, etc. Very creepy....

Very nice experience
greekdx23 August 2023
Own of the most impressive Mexican movies I see this year.

First to note that the movie has a different original title called el ulitimo vagon or the last wagon that is used also in Greece This is the story of a young boy called Ikal with a nomad family moving from city to another city as required by the bosses of his step-father who works in a railway road constructing company Due to these conditions he is quite unable as a young student to learn the school lessons as he still does not know on how to read.

The story goes continuously forth and back in time showing him as school inspector while the remain shows his activities in the school and his life with his mates. The teacher helped him to learn and also behaved as his second mom.

The movie is very nice as also the rural places It reminds my very long ago childish time. It is not so shallow as anyone can think it shows the best of not only the boy also the remain characters and the value of having friends Carlo Isaac the actors name s not shown in the first rank of the movies web page

9/10 It's a nice experience watching this movie.

A beautiful film with a passionate ending, I cried a lot...
RosanaBotafogo21 April 2024
It's much more than a cute film, about a simple childhood and the importance of friends, it portrays a harsh capitalist reality (a necessary evil)... Education sets you free, teaching is an act of passion, teachers should be overrated, we, workers we are replaceable... So beautiful and so sad, it moves us and leaves our hearts tight, in the same proportion that it leaves our hearts warm... A beautiful film with a passionate ending, I cried a lot...

At a school in rural Mexico, teacher Georgina is determined to make a difference in the lives of the bright young students she educates in a classroom converted from a train car.
